From the steep headlands of coastal California to the red rock deserts of Utah, the Merrell Men's All Out Blaze Vent Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot keeps you treading confidently across widely variable terrain and soaking-wet trails. The waterproof leather and M-Select waterproof, breathable membrane keep your feet blissfully dry through nasty weather and shallow stream crossings. Breathable mesh keeps your feet from overheating on hot summer days and grueling distance treks. Plus, the bellows tongue prevents small pebbles from sneaking in and irritating your foot.
Bolstering support when you're hiking down steep inclines, the molded TPU external heel counter prevents the rear portion of the boot from folding in on itself. E-foam midsole cushioning softens the impact from rock-strewn trails and uneven terrain. And because it's home on rough trails, the Vibram TC5+ sole features an aggressive lugged pattern.

Used these boots for my half dome hike and they were incredible. They didn't really require any breaking in and were comfortable throughout the hike.
I've been using them for short and long hikes in the last year and they still look great. I expect them to last for quite some time.

My brother is getting ready for a backpacking trip around Cuba, and he needed a good pair of boots. He loves these, they're comfortable and easy to break-in. His feet will be happy while preparing for and during his trip!
These are my go-to footwear. They look great, work amazingly on the trail, and good for casual wear as well. Comfortable all day long and was surprised to find right out of the box hiking and not one blister/hotspots. I've crossed creeks and standing water throughout the Washington peninsula and Cascades without any water intrusion. I love them and highly recommend them.
