X3 Enduro 29in Boost Wheelset

As riders have pushed the limits of just how fast they can rip down technical terrain, the demands placed on their wheels and tires has dramatically gone up. To meet these demands, wheels have gotten much stronger, stiffer, and wider for accurate tracking across rough terrain, durability to ride unscathed across gnarlier terrain, as well as higher levels of grip when you're running modern trail tires in the realm of 2.3 to 2.6 inches in width. Spotting these trends in enduro and all-mountain riding disciplines, the savvy engineers at Mercury made the X3 Enduro Wheelset for reliable strength, high levels of stiffness, and better support with wider tires.

Made of alloy, the X3 Enduro Wheelset maintains high levels of strength and stiffness at a relatively low weight, but without draining your funds like costlier carbon wheels. The 30-millimeter internal width provides an optimal tire footprint when you're running modern trail tires in the range of 2.2 to a massive 2.8 inches wide. Since they're made with Boost spacing in mind, you'll enjoy increased wheel stiffness, thanks to an improved spoke bracing angle with the wider hubs. The two-cross spoke lacing pattern maximizes lateral stiffness, yet it offers a bit of vertical compliance for a smoother ride quality, especially over rocky terrain and rough trails.

Mercury laser welds the X3 Enduro to ensure a consistent, seamless rim that's well-balanced and without irregularities. The pronounced bead socket and flat rimbed allow you to easily set-up tubeless tires without excessive effort on your part. They're finished with Mercury's branded MTB Disc hub with sealed cartridge bearings for reliability and longevity, even in sloppy conditions. 28 Sapim Race double-butted spokes and Sapim brass nipples ensure a reliably strong wheelset, but without the excessive weight of burlier wheels with 32 spokes.
