    Riding is believing.

Many of us waited patiently while the rest of the mountain bike world finally discovered the merits of 29-inch wheels. Speed, traction, and roll over ability are all there and now that components and bike geometries are refined, we see very few check marks in the cons column. So if you're looking to build up a new enduro wagon wheel shredder or looking for an upgrade over your stock wheels on your trail machine, have a look at the wide footprint allowing Enduro Alloy 29in Boost Wheelset from Mercury Wheels and prepare to slay the trails. Maximize your frame's slack geometry and wider trail rubber with wheels packing lateral and torsional stiffness with a forgiving ride.

Built up on 6-bolt hubs and laced with 28 Sapim Race double-butted spokes in a two-cross pattern on each wheel, the end result is a laterally stiff wheel with just enough compliance for positive cornering and tracking across the ruts with a smoother demeanor through the rock gardens. Mercury wisely specs brass nipples instead of alloy since a shaving a few extra grams aren't nearly as important as reducing oxidation, especially when in the presence of tubeless sealant, and the potential of rounding and stripping nipples while truing.

The rims are constructed from a lightweight, durable, 6061 alloy for years of trouble-free use and build up a wheelset that comes in at a respectable 1,891-grams. And for those of you worried that alloy isn't as stiff as carbon, the improved spoke bracing angle afforded by Boost spacing reduces flex while slamming into berms and sprinting over the top of rises so you'll get similar ride qualities. With a 30mm internal width, the Enduro Alloy can run anything from 2.1 to 2.7-inch rubber to tame your local terrain.

    • An all-mountain/enduro wheelset for wagon wheels
    • Rim width tailored for modern trail rubber
    • Stiff Boost thru-axles reduce torsional and lateral flex
    • Aluminum rims balance stiffness, lightweight, and durability
    • Mercury Wheels is the self-sponsored racer's best friend

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Best bang for the buck. Very happy with how stiff, light, and responsive these wheels are. A bit sluggish at the beginning, I put some quality lube on the bearings and now they fly. Very easy to set them up tubeless (I paired them with a set of Vittoria Martello 2.35). Warning: the Shimano free wheel came without the spacer necessary for 11 speed cassette. Make sure you order one or go to your LBS. For the rest I am very pleases with this purchase. Highly recommended for trail/light Enduro.

    Strong and Steady

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Amazing price for what you get. It's easy to tell these wheels are hand built and it's a bonus they are done in the USA.
Only had them for just over a month now but have ridden every day. Nothing like getting a new toy to get you out and about.
They've been great and I would highly recommend them.

    Great Wheels

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Like Peter said, they may not be the lightest wheels out there but I'd say they are some of the stiffest 29 alloys I've ever ridden. Trying to pump out of berms on noodles is not ideal. Even though the weight of the stock wheels was about the same I feel much quicker with these snappy wheels and they've held up to far more treacherous rock gardens.

    Well Built

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have ridden these wheels all season in the rocky trails of UT, really don't have any complaints. They've held up to much abuse and low riding pressure. I've straightened out a ding or three but they still haven't needed a true.

Lots of value for a replacement wheelset

Not super sexy in terms of weight nor hub engagement, but this wheelset is a great options for anyone who needs a set of replacement wheels or backups. 30mm internal is just right for today's modern 2.4.-25 tire widths.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These wheels have been indestructible. The rim profile is different than the Mercury's I've seen but the change is all good.
Coming from someone who is always having to check spoke tension after tough rides, I'd recommend these to anyone who'd like to push their limits on the trails but rather not drop too much money on iffy product.

      Nice wheelset!

Bought a set of these about 4 months ago. They have stayed true, run strong and have been all over the trails in WY with no issues. Highly recommend.
