It was time to replace my front tire and was uncertain which way to go. Based on a lot of reviews, and rider recommendations, I decided on a 2.4 HR II. Compared to the DHF, I noticed the HR II grips and corners better for the hardpack SoCal trails I ride. In loose, sandy sections it did great too.

So Far So good
Really like this tire. Holds up good for the terrain around the SLC valley and was super easy to set the tubeless bead. The price point was very good as well. We will see how they hold up...

A Great All-Around Tire
Having ridden High Roller II's front and back for nearly three summers, I can say this is a great go-to tire. It handles both the uphill and downhill incredibly well in a variety of conditions. From the singletrack in Park City to the Southern Utah desert, these always did their part, even when I didn't do mine. Would recommend this tire on the front and the Maxxis High Roller II 3C/Double Down/TR Tire in the back, as it's a bit more durable.

Great tire. Wish it lasted longer.
My 5010 came with Minions front and rear but they wore out in about six months. I got a good deal on a pair of these Highrollers for $45 each from competitive cyclist. They corner amazingly when fresh. Every ride was a blast. No punctures. No flats. Pretty easy to set up tubeless with just a floor pump. However, durability remains a concern. These also wore out after about 6 months. The center lugs are fine but the side lugs are deteriorating and about to rip off. I'm 240lbs and ride 1-3x/week. I was hoping for better durability but this may be the trade off.

All I can say is this tire grips the corners. I slapped this bad boy on the front of my Trek Slash and now I feel way more comfortable leaning the bike into flat corners. I now feel as agile as a honey badger and I have the confidence of Hugh Hefner.

Go To Tire
I've run the High Roller II's front and rear for three years now. Great all-around tire that generally holds up to the beating its provided.

Very awesome tire for all around riding in Utah. Rolls fast, has large side knobs for cornering and allows me confidence wherever I ride. I recommend this tire as a front or rear tire!

Go to tires
The high roller is my go-to tire for riding in CO and UT. It offers excellent tread and durability. It's magical cornering!

$ High Roller $
I swapped out my front Ardent for the 2.4 High Roller. I've never felt better in the corners! This tire is great for a few reasons. For one, the EXO sidewall is really durable for rocky riding. Second, the tire has pretty good rolling resistance for being an enduro tire. Lastly, the tread really grips in the corners. A real confidence boosting tire! I would recommend this tire paired with an Ardent in the rear. Hard combo to beat in my opinion!

Great front tire option
I've used this as a front tire for about 3-4 years, it works great, hooks great in the corners and in the 2.4 width gives me good volume. EXO sidewalls are great for Utah rocks, and weight is pretty competitive with similar tires. I tried to use it as a rear tire, but it had a bit too much rolling resistance for my liking.

Favorite front tire!
I have been running a High Roller II on the front of my Juliana Furtado for the last season and love it! It is faster rolling than a Minion but had more bite when pushed into corners than an Ardent does. So far I have run it on wet trails, sandy, slickrock, and dry trails. The only area where I haven't been 100% happy with it was the really dry, dusty trails. Other than that, it is an awesome all around front tire!

Trying something new
Been a huge fan of the Ardent by maxis, these are great as well, i wish i would have gone a little wider on my SB6 but i will do that next buy. Overall these have been holding up great and are quite grippy in the corners.

You Enduro Bro?
Maxxis High Rollers have always been my go to tire when looking to ride aggressive but still looking for a good rolling tire. Have done numerous shuttle/lift runs and provides confidence inspiring cornering while still being able to handle the rough stuff like SoCal chunk. Used this for my last Enduro race and was trouble free as I knew it would be. The 2.4 width is perfect if you are looking to go a little wider in the front or if you are looking to squeeze the biggest tire width in the rear as most 6in travel bike have a max clearance of 2.4". Have more questions about this tire feel free to hit me up.

Does the High Roller 2.4 tire fit in the rear for a 2015 Specialized FSR Carbon expert Evo 650b?
December 15, 2016
Bardo, It would really depend on what width rim you are using as it can change the volume and shape of the tire. I would say you would need to play is safe and run a 2.3

Great all around tire
Awesome tire for most conditions. Little faster rolling then the DHR 2 Ive found but it also wears out a little quicker.

Sticky & Grippy
Love these tires. I live in Utah and it gets pretty dry and dusty here. But these tires have great grip. They do seem to love rocks though and I find that they toss them up at me occasionally. I have them mounted up to Reynold's Enduro wheels, DT Swiss 471s, and I9 Pillar Carbon Enduro rims and love the setup for all the trail riding I have done on them so far.

This tire is great in all the conditions I've used it so far. It's been great in dry-loose conditions as well as wet muddy conditions. It does wear a little quickly as it is a very soft compound but it's a small price to pay for the grip you get.

Big fan of these tires. lots of traction on the downhill section, really grips in most conditions. No flats yet!

Fast rolling, and super tacky.
