Aggressor Wide Trail EXO/TR Tire

Bumping up the width, the Aggressor Wide Trail EXO/TR 29in tire brings you the Aggressor you love, but with a bit of extra traction and plush feel for railing banked berms and sending it into loose rock gardens. With lugs extending further up the sidewall, and reliable EXO sidewall protection, you can book it down the trail in loose and dry conditions with the confidence of tacky hero dirt.

You can run the Aggressor as a front or rear tire, seeing the softer side knobs provide tons of stability when leaning into corners, but without excess drag to slow you down, as the center uses a harder compound rubber for quick rolling. Its tread pattern lends its self towards loose and dusty trails, and medium-pack, making it an ideal summer tire for those of us who live in dustier places where the sun leaves trails bone-dry. Ultimately, the Aggressor is fun to play around with on a number of trail conditions, provided your trail isn't a mud pie from recent rainfall.

The Wide Trail design on this particular Aggressor is designed for running rims ranging from 30 to 35 millimeters of inner-width, giving you shorter sidewalls for steering precision, correct knob spacing for railing corners with plentiful grip, and increased support for running lower pressures. This results in a tire that's built for the rigors of aggressive riders who desire better cornering grip and increased bump compliance, without worrying about losing support as they drop the air pressure.

Best rear tire for traction in my area

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I am running this tire on 3 bikes. I started using it on my enduro as a heavier casing allowes for a beating. I took my endure on some of my local trails and really enjoyed the hookup over my lighter tire setups - so I ended up switching over my Ripley and Hardtail to the same tire combo. Combined with a Assagai front tire, I have no complaints at all. The weight is expected with this type of tire, but the traction offered outweighs the downside.

Great Rear Tire

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

After running the DHR II in the rear for ages, and a lack of inventory in them this year, I decided to run the Aggressor in the rear at the start of this season. I am super impressed with this tire! The grip is amazing and the transition is seamless. When descending this tire rides the line perfectly of being grippy but allowing you to comfortably push beyond that grip to get a little slide (or roost) if you want. Rolling resistance vs the DHR II is noticeably lower, too. On straights while descending I have noticed the bike moving faster without any effort on my part. I went 4/5 stars for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, without the EXO+ the durability is not as good. I punctured this tire twice in as many days. The second being a sidewall hit that did not seal. Thank you Cush Core for letting me finish my ride. Second reason the grip in less than hardpack conditions isn't as good as the DHR II. Here in Utah we get deep moon dust by mid-season and this thing has not handled the moon dust that well. Going to swap this out for a Dissector or go back to the DHR II now that trails are getting blown out. Overall- this is an amazing tire for hardpack to slightly loose conditions. This will be my tire of choice for early season riding from here on out.

Bought this to replace the same tire on my Ibis Ripmo. Good traction in most conditions, not too much rolling resistance. And durable, it gets a lot of abuse between the granite rocks and oak roots here in New England. Not very grippy on wet roots, but haven't found a tire that is. Looked at other options when I needed a replacement but this hits the sweet spot for me: price, weight, and traction. Using on the rear, works great for me.
