Cosmic Elite SL Cycling Shoe

When the road pitches up and you’re fighting gravity with every pedal stroke, you’ll be glad for the feather-weight and supremely stiff Cosmic Elite SL Shoes upon your feet. Mavic designed the Elite SL for the long steady climbs, when we need both a stiff sole to efficiently transfer power to the cranks, as well as a breathable upper to keep feet cool for the way up the mountain. Mavic eliminates all unnecessary weight from the Cosmic Elite SL to ensure they are as light as possible, weighing a scant 230grams. A single BOA dial provides a precise fit, while the hook-and-loop strap helps secure the foot in place for optimal power transfer.

  • Mavic’s ultralight road shoe, built for mountain climbs
  • TPU frame bonded to mesh panels provide support and ventilation
  • Adjustable BOA IP1 dial quickly and easily customizes the fit
  • Compatible with 3-bolt road cleats

My first clipless shoe and it’s great

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
Runs small
Size Bought
US 9
Height
6` 0"
Weight
185 lbs

I wear US 9.5 in converse and 10 or 10.5 in Nike. Size US 9 ended up fitting perfectly in these. Hopefully that helps a bit for those unsure of size. As for the shoes, they are comfortable, very light and I can’t think of any complaints. I got them on sale so even more of a reason to be happy with my purchase. I frequently go on 4hr rides and they are comfortable the entire time.

I’’m confused with the sizing. Do you mean it runs big? If you normally wear size 10 on Nike and the size 9 on Mavic fits you then it runs big?

I am looking to purchase a white carbon road cycling shoe... however, when i look at the description, I dont quite understand what is a Energy Carbon Comp Outsole ? What is the rating quality of this carbon shoe since there is not testimonials. Thanks.
