    Delectable backcountry cuisine.

These are delicious! Without that weird flavor you taste in other instant potatoes, Mary Jane's potatoes are unbelievably perfect, healthy and super easy to prep. Simply add boiling water directly into the pouch and grab a spoon. No waiting on this meal.

    best dinner ever

I dehydrate cooked ground buffalo and add the equivalent of a half lb. raw meat to one package of this.... put the dried ground buffalo or beef in a little hot water for a few minutes before adding to spuds. Also add some freeze dries peas. Soooo good. That makes a good serving for one person after a 20 mile or so day. I usually carry a 12 day load of food, and this is the dinner I look forward to most.

      Flavorful Taters

Loved them! Better than your average insta-potatoes found at the regular grocery store. The spinach and cheese definitely made the dish very enjoyable. We made it as a side dish to split between 2 people, and that was perfect. I will most definitely be getting these again!

        Impressed Idahoan

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I grew up in Idaho potato country, so I grew up up delicious spud recipes that gave me an inability to tolerate dehydrated potatoes. These were pretty tasty though. There was only the slightest hint of that faux-potato taste, and the flavor from the spinach and cheese covered it up pretty well. I'll definitely eat these again.

        Mary Jane's Spuds

Absolutely delicious—as good as mashed potatoes from a top notch restaurant or grandma’s kitchen. I was scraping the sides of the package to get every last bite. The consistency was exactly like mashed potatoes. High in salt (eating one packet which is two servings provides about 70% of the RDA in salt). I would buy this packet again and be very happy with it—maybe even eat it at home!
