Athletic cut...watch the chest size

This is an athletic cut. I had to go with an XL to get it to fit thru the chest...which made the arms REALLY long. I love everything else about the coat including the color...so will just give the sleeves one roll. If you have long arms, this may be a great cut for you!

Jacket

Very warm lightweight jacket. Good fit overall but a little slim through the shoulders. Went a size up based on other reviews and it fits great.

Great Jacket

I loved it but it runs small. With a sweatshirt underneath it is to tight. I tried to get a larger size but they were all gone.

Great for fall hiking

Tested it in the Adirondack high peaks in October and it was perfect. Kewps me warm and isn't bulky so it doesn't get in the way while climbing.

So great in most ways but had to return...

I can't tell you how sad I was to send this jacket back. It has only one flaw, but it was a deal breaker for me. This jacket is too narrow in the shoulders. I am quite slender; by no stretch of the definition would my shoulders be considered "broad." I have never had this problem before. But the shoulders were really tight. I would've been unable to wear more than a T-Shirt under the jacket and wearing a backpack with it, or doing anything that required reaching, would've been uncomfortable and annoying. For reference, I'm 5'6" 115 lbs and ordered an XS, which is my usual size in all tops. Other than the shoulders, the jacket fit great. Everywhere else had enough room to wear a hoodie underneath and that's why I returned instead of exchanged; a S would've been too big. The jacket is suuuper soft both inside and out, the color (Acai) is vibrant and even nicer in person, the sleeves and hem are a good length, and the pockets are sufficiently spacious. I was getting too hot just trying the jacket on so it seems really warm. Anyway, with more room in the shoulders this would've been the perfect soft shell. Too bad. If you don't mind really tight shoulders/not being able to layer, then I'd say go for it.

Fit, Functional, and Sturdy Softshell

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Size Bought:
S
Weight:
110

Purchased Zenyatta Jacket as gift for daughter in size S, Rose Color. She has petite frame, and finding a softshell jacket to fit a short-waisted figure has been a challenge. The Zenyatta has a looser, less restrictive stretch fit and has performed well for her when walking dog and hiking urban trails in windy 35-55 degree F temps. Three sturdy zip pockets (phone size) on outside of jacket are nice. The jacket is a heavier softshell, but breathes well and there is room to layer. Rose color a nice change-up from other darker jackets she owns. For reference, she is 5' and 110#. This jacket fits her frame better than the Arcteryx and Outdoor Research (Ferrosi) softshells that we previously tried. A great jacket from Marmot!

Love this jacket

I wear this jacket all the time now. Its warm, not hot, and not bulky. So far my favorite. Only comlpaint is front pocket towards zipper- I wish was a bit wider for my phone.

Fits snug

Fits pretty snug. I ordered my usual size based on ratings. I can only wear a tee under it. But it’s definitely warm mand and cuts the wind

Great Jacket!

I already own an older Marmot jacket that I love. But, that jacket had no hood. So when I saw this I immediately bought it. When I first tried it on, I was concerned because I felt that it would be a bit too tight to wear a heavy wool sweater under. I am a person who gets very cold, I assumed I would need a big sweater under it. I considered exchanging for an extra large to accomodate. Well, so far, I am happy to say, I have not needed a bulky sweater when I wear this jacket. This jacket does what it says it will do. It keeps the wind out, and repels the rain. It's lightweight enough to be very comfortable, yet it keeps me so toasty warm! I love this jacket!
