A descent vest
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- XXL

I found this vest fit true to size. I am 6'1" and 246. It is cut nice thru the shoulders I have pretty wide shoulders. The fill/loft is on the thin side when I compare it to my Stockholm vest..and the picture of this one on the site shows the baffles to be full and plump.mine I received is on the thin side a little disappointed..but in the cold weather once layered up it most likely will do the job.probly will review later when it gets colder and wetter

So far... so good!

Thus far am impressed with this vest. Time will tell if it holds up. I'm 5'9 with fairly broad shoulders and am usually between a L and and XL. I bought the L and it fits great, even has enough room for a hoodie underneath which is perfect! It's not too thin and not too thick, a good fall/spring option and can be layered for winter. Inside zipper pocket is just what you need for your wallet/phone to keep the hand pockets open. A great value at the sale price (~$77).

Light weight and easily packed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happily wore my best this season in Utah and also braved some pretty cold days in the East. Form fitting and comfortable! Most of the time I didn't every remember I had an extra layer of comfort. Highly recommend

Great vest!
Wanted a top shelf down vest for disc golfing through the winter, often at night. This is it. Sure, it spits out a few feathers here and there, but that's the only issue I can find. The fit is just right for me, allows me to put a couple layers of merino underneath and a shell over if needed, and it covers my butt. The collar is great -- tall and puffy, keeping all the heat down where it belongs. The elasticized arm openings are just right -- snug enough to keep heat in and loose enough to keep from restricting motion. I'm short and a little stocky, often right in between a size small and a medium, but have had great luck with Marmot lately. They make a Small that fits me well with no restriction. Treat yourself. Glad I did.

solid vest but fit is off
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as I can tell, you're either a vest person or you're not at all, there's no middle ground. I'm the former. I like this vest -- goose down, well done baffles, interior chest pocket (ideal for phone), warm but not overkill. My only complaint is fit. Marmot advertises this as athletic fit, but I do not find that to be accurate. I'm 6'3"/200, and the L is pretty loose fitting. That is fine and perhaps even desirable for some use cases because it allows layering under it. But without layers it's not fitted, which makes it less useful for many activities and not great for a night out. That said, it's still a nice piece -- just plan to size down or layer up.
