Disappointed in the quality and design

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Fan of Marmot tents. Got the Torreya for its size. The footprint to protect the bottom from dirt and moisture. The footprint does that well. What remains disappointing is that the middle of the footprint cannot be secured to the tent. You can secure it at the front and back but a footprint of this size really needs more support in the middle. At this price, it is beyond me how that was overlooked/ignored. The second issue is that the footprint lasted one trip. It tore immediately because it is not a ripstop material. After one week long camping trip there is now a one square inch tear/hole in the footprint. Nothing that cannot be patched but I was a bit speechless. One does camp on rocks after all and the bottom of the tent moves when you are inside. The third issue is that it really is a bit on the small side. My impression was that it fell short about two inch for the tent. Snug fit under the tent.
