    Turn up the heat.

Packed with the fiery insulation of PrimaLoft Gold, the Marmot Women's Toaster Capri Pant is a toasty layering piece that comfortably slides under your ski pants during frigid alpine excursions and wintertime camp outings. Since PrimaLoft Gold is comprised of lofty synthetic fibers, it retains thermal warmth in damp conditions that would render traditional down useless. Just in case some snow works its way into your ski pants, the shiny, shell-like material holding the insulation enjoys the moisture repellency of a DWR finish.

    Awesome Idea, Horrible Waistband

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Extra Small
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 105lbs

I bought these in an XS and I am tiny, like 105 pounds. I wear a 00 and a XXS in Patagonia and size 24 jeans. I could BARELY get the XS up over my butt and once I did they were very uncomfortable and I doubted I could ever get them off in a hurry. The waistband does not have ANY stretch at all, like zero. The rest fit fine, but the waistband was a returnable offense. I ended up purchasing a size Small (which the tag says is a Women's 6-8, yeah right) because that was the only size I could actually get on! They are pretty baggy where the Primaloft is and I will always wear them under my ski pants because they are SUPER not flattering. But, they did keep my buns toasty warm on a relatively chilly ski day at Big Sky, so for that they get three stars. I just wish someone at Marmot had actually tried these on, because they would have realized right away that the waistband was an incredible design flaw.

Awesome idea, wish it had more stretch

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium & Large
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 135lbs

This is a novel (to me at least) idea and I really applaud them for addressing cold butts and thighs! I would buy multiple pairs, but I seem to be in between sizes, where the medium is just too tight for comfort, especially if sitting on a lift, but the large feels like baggy sweat pants. If they were to incorporate some small amount of stretch to this, I'd love it. Also, they seem to have designed it for people with serious hourglass figures, so I also need to size up because the waist on the Medium was way too tight.

A great addition to powder days

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 125lbs

These leggings are a great addition to cold days riding the lifts. The synthetic insulation at the thighs and bum is a nice touch of toasty warmth without getting you too warm. The 3/4-length is appreciated, too, so you're not rolling your leggings up out of your ski boots.

    Super Warm!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 145lbs

My boyfriend got me these as a Christmas gift before my trip to Banff, and boy did he save my butt! I'm a solid Medium and they fit well. Keep in mind that the front and back thighs, where the added insulation is, is not stretchy. I have muscular thighs and smaller(ish) hips, so a medium fit well. If you've got muscular thighs and a big booty, I would go up a size for sure. (Note: They do look slightly strange while grabbing après-ski beers, worn with cowboy boots and ski socks)

    Not enough stretch

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 130lbs

I would reccomend sizing up on these! I waited for a Small in Black to come back in stock to purchase for myself. When I got them they did 'fit' but not if i planned on doing activities while wearing these, there wasnt enough stretch to be worn while snowboarding which was my intention. I may order a medium, but ended up returning the Smalls for now. They definitely seem warm and cozy however.
