It's better just to keep your hands dry.

Not only are wet and pruny hands creepy, but they can be downright dangerous in cold mountain climates—keep you hands dry with the Marmot PreCip Undercuff Gloves. Their DriClime lining wicks moisture so your hands stay dry from the inside, while their waterproof, breathable insert prevents any moisture from creeping in from the outside. They're sized to fit over a liner glove for when it's especially cold out, and the hook and loop closure ensures they stay on tight.

    Good waterproof light duty glove

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I wanted a light duty water and wind proof glove that was extremely light. The purpose of this glove was for backcountry ski/snowboarding and mountaineering. In those applications you usually have a liner you where all day but at times you need something more but you don't need a heavy winter glove. For this purpose this Marmot glove was perfect. It is one of the lightest options I could find that is waterproof, that I can fit my liner in for extra warmth, but that is not bulky. The only negative I have found is that they are so light weight that their durability will be somewhat low. I have already made a small burn hole after handling my camping stove (my fault but this would not have happened with a leather glove). So think of these as light duty gloves....for that they are perfect. They are also inexpensive compared to other options.
