Why We Like The PreCip Eco Pant
It's common consensus that the forecast is often wrong, so it's a good idea to bring the Marmot PreCip Eco Pants along for a little insurance in case those blue skies turn gray. These lightweight rain pants weigh in at just under half a pound, so you'll hardly notice them in your pack if you bring them along on your day hike or backpacking trip. When it's time to pull the pants on or off, open up the side ankle zippers and easily slide the pants over your hiking boots, or open up the ankle zippers when you need a little extra ventilation. The fabric is built with a highly breathable membrane, one that will keep you dry in a storm, but also naturally vents so you can keep moving at the same pace. If you run into dense, scratchy brush that's closing in on the trail, the pants' rugged nylon ripstop fabric is up for the challenge: it's made to resist wear-and-tear so it'll get you back to camp unscathed, and keep you going through many a wet excursion.

Precip rain pants affordable and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Precip Rain pants are waterproof in a light rain. Haven’t used them in a downpour yet. They run large in the waist. I gave this medium to my daughter who is 5’6” and 140. They fit her well over sweat pants.

I recently ordered these pants to help me stay dry during our rainy Fall and Spring seasons. I'm a little disappointed that the waist band is really tight compared to the way the rest of the pant's fit. They are quite expensive to be so far off in sizing. Since you have to wear something under them, it is necessary that the waist be designed better.

Eco pants ( rain gear)
I can't say that I don't like these rain pants but I can't say I love them. They come in short and that is the reason I bought them. However I wish they were lined, unless I wear something under them they stick to my skin and I don't like that at all. They just need to be lined. I do recommend them to anyone need rain gear, just wear leggings under them. I didn't buy the jacket for the same reason, no lining. There are days when it's just to warm to wear leggings or something else underneath these pants. They do a great job of keeping you dry.

Great waterproof pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the zippers. I've taken these on several hiking and backpacking trips and they've worked will every time. The extra ounces is worth the piece of mind in not worrying about getting too wet in flash storms.

My second pair. Love the petite sizing.
This is my second pair now, after wearing almost everyday for 4-5 years outdoors as a teacher in an outdoor based pre-school. The inside finally wore out. I was going to try the full zip version this time, but it was sold out in my size. *** I really appreciate the petite sizing, which is what drew me to these pants in the first place. Some reviewers said they were too short, but at 5'2" that's not a problem for me. Petite sizing is meant for 5'4" and under, so if you're 5'4" you may want to choose "regular" sizing (whatever that is supposed to mean. Haha.)
