More than a jean.
The Marmot Pipeline Denim Pant might look like a standard pair of wear-anywhere jeans, but thanks to CoolMax technology, these pants perform more like a pair of high-performance hiking pants. Synthetic fibers move sweat away from your skin and help it evaporate quickly so your body can regulate its temperature efficiently. You get the performance you'd expect from a pair of outdoor pants without having to look like you're going on a khaki safari every time you want to be comfortable outside. Instead, you get the classic five pocket styling has you looking casual cool for daily demands such as commuting to work or dinner with friends. If you're commuting by bike, the straight leg cut from the knee to ankle ensures you won't get caught up in your chain while the reinforced back pockets hold up to you shoving your phone in over and over.

Another ruined classic
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 185lbs
I have four pairs of these in 32x32 and the cut on this one is drastically different from the previously-purchased four pairs. It more hipster and, sadly, is an example of what Levis did with their classics - drastically changed the fit and then was all surprised when people stopped buying them. I guess, the search for another non-hipster tailored brand shall commences, again.
Good jeans - actually fit athletic legs
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
My fiance owned these jeans for the better part of three years. He's 6'2", weigh 185 lb, and has fairly large thighs from skiing and weight lifting. So he need a 32" waist, 34" inseam, plenty of room for his thighs, and enough stretch to move around comfortably. These jeans are one of the few that he has found that deliver on all counts. If you have athletic legs and need some stretch to your jeans, I would definitely recommend the Marmot Pipeline Jeans. One thing to note is that they will shrink a bit if you run them through the dryer. He needs every bit of the 34" inseam, so he lets them air dry for the longevity of the pant.
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 30
- Height: 5'5"
- Weight: 135lbs
These are a nice pair of jeans with great material and wash, but they fit way big in the waist on me compared to the other brands that are out there.
