outstanding short one minor issue
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these looking for a heavier material short than most of what I see offered. The northsyde short is a robust cotton blend heavy feeling and definitely able to stand up to most abuse thrown at it. They are a perfect length whether you're out for an evening walk or doing some serious scrambling. The only issue I have with them and the reason they didn't get 5 stars is the depth of the front pockets. The pockets themselves are not deep, and the steep cut of the pocket makes it very easy for items to slip out unnoticed. Otherwise an excellent product.

Great work shorts
I was looking for a pair of shorts that would hold up doing outdoor work and these were perfect.

A solid pair of shorts.
I bought these about six weeks ago and have used them regularly since then. I climb in them on a regular basis both in the gym and outside. They are very comfortable and great for just about anything.

Really heavy shorts
I bought these shorts online to take to the Cayman islands. Wow are they heavy, feels like wearing canvas.
