NanoWave 25 Sleeping Bag: 25 Degree Synthetic

When weight and space are at a premium on alpine missions or kayak tours, bring along the Marmot NanoWave 25 Sleeping Bag: 25 Degree Synthetic to get a good night's sleep throughout your travels. Lightweight and durable, the NanoWave 25 doesn't take up much space or weight in your pack so you can easily bring it along on any of your cool to cold weather missions. Spirafil high loft insulation keeps you comfortable as you sleep even if it happens to get wet from ground moisture and the draft tube blocks cool breezes from sneaking through the full-length, two-way zipper. Unzip the bag all the way to create a blanket for more versatile use and at the end of your adventure, wash the bag and hang it up to dry with the two hang loops so it is ready for your next trip out in the backcountry.

Great purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went to Northern New Mexico for summer camp and while days are warm, the nights are not. This bag did the job. When it is really gold, a liner makes it perfect.

Decent budget bag.

I used this bag down to 33F and was comfortable with a light, long sleeve Merino base layer top only. It packs down pretty well for a Synthetic Bag. Way better than any Big box store offerings I have seen. I also have the Nanowave 45F which packs even smaller but would not be good much below the 45F rating. I recommend this Nanowave line if you are on a budget and not dealing with temps below 30F.

Very thin, not warm at 10°C

Mid winter, dressed, room temperature around 10°C and I was almost chilly inside this sleeping bag. Marmot is a good quality company but this bag is very thin for a rated 3.4°C.

Not warm. Too big. Sad.

Marmot messed up big-time with this one. As other reviews have noted, it didn't keep me warm even in ~40 degree weather. Brought this on a week-long excursion in Utah and Colorado and was downright SHIVERING every night, even though it only dropped to in anything below 36, unable to sleep, even with my down jacket and wool socks on, with the bag "sealed" shut over my head. I imagine you'd freeze in 25 degree weather! Hoping I can return this.

Not as warm as advertised

We bought this bag for our daughter and were surprised by its thinness. We just took a trip to Lassen where the nights were 35-40 degrees F. My daughter complained of being cold the first night, so she and I switched bags. I was freezing every night of the trip even with all of my warmest clothes on. We were backpacking and did not have the ability to add more layers or switch out gear. I hope that Marmot changes the temperature rating on this bag. Even with temperatures at the level they say should be comfortable, this bag did not keep us warm enough.

Excellent design and comfort

I purchased 2 of the Nanowave 25’s and put them to the test in mid 30 degree weather with no additional blankets or sleeping bag liner. Impressed! Is all I will say! We woke up to ice on the perimeter of the tent and was nice and warm only utilizing the sleeping bag and a rolled up sweater as a pillow for 2 nights.
