Minimalist Component Jacket

Prepare yourself for any weather on your shoulder season hike by zipping up the Marmot Minimalist jacket. Additionally the Thermal R liner traps your body heat for maximum warmth as the temperature drops later in the evening.

Strange Fit

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought
Large

I am 6'1" and 187lbs, I have a lean muscular build. I bought a large and will be returning it. The jacket is ok, but for my build where the space in the jacket is allocated is not a good match. For me it has too much space in the upper chest and front shoulder area, and not enough space in the back to have good mobility. I purchased this to replace an old Marmot Jacket that I outgrew (Medium). Well back to the drawing board. Is really hard to find true athletic cuts in winter jackets that are designed for everyday use in cold climates.

I ordered this jacket and will say I’m pleased. The inner layer is surprisingly warm for being as thin as it is. I live in Maryland so I’m not in the Arctic by any means, but it does get cold here. It has done good by me thus far. The outer layer layer is Gore Tex so no water gets in whatsoever. The fit is true to form. I’m 6’2”, 195 lbs Athletic build and I ordered a large. I like it a little snug, but at the same time I still have room for a sweatshirt underneath. Not very bulky which is a plus for me. Overall happy.

Warm and Lightweight

Fit:
Runs small

XL

I purchased this jacket for cooler temputures in rainy weather, The jacket performs really well, warm, waterproof and has features that make it a good jacket (velcro sleeve cuffs, drawstring bottom, zip pockets, zipout liner). The hood on the jacket works well but I wish it had the option to zip off. The jacket runs small. I normally wear large but for this had to buy a XL.

I bought this jacket for my Dad, who loves to walk everyday. The jacket is perfect for all weather conditions and 3 seasons. He tried the Large and ended up returning it because it was too tight in the arms. He's 6' and 180lbs.

Does this jacket have pit zips in the shell and/or the thermal?

Two-way zip or not? The photo and the snap at the bottom conceals it.

Joseph, this item only has the single-way zipper
