Lynx Insulated Anorak

The word anorak comes from the Greenlandic annoraaq, which roughly translates as "wind". The first anoraks were made using animal skin from seals and caribou to protect from wind and cold. The Marmot Lynx Insulated Anorak is made from nylon and synthetic insulation instead of arctic animals, but it still does just what the original anoraks were designed to do, which is to protect you from wind and cold. The windproof face fabric keeps gusts from cooling your core while the Thermal R Active insulation offers durable, lightweight warmth for chilly fall days on the trails. A DWR treatment repels light moisture from unexpected snow fall while the rib knit cuffs and hem keep the chill from creeping in on cold morning commutes.

10/10. The perfect warm but not too warm jacket. I'm obsessed with the snap pocket, and I got so many compliments on the color.

This was a bit big to get. I wear a Medium and purchased a M, however I could’ve easily gotten a small and been ok. The jacket also hung a little lower then shown on the model. I like the idea of form fit personally. Looked like it would’ve been super cute to wear. I returned it.

This windbreaker is AMAZING. I'm obsessed with it. I bought this to hike Whitney in May 2019 -- we had a perfect day on the mountain weather-wise, but i low key wished it was colder so I could keep wearing this. When they say insulated, they mean it. It's warm. This is for a real wind chill, not a 10mph breeze. However, I kept wearing it when we got back into town at 70 degrees, and I wasn't uncomfortable with no serious activity. I'm 5'8" and the bottom lays right on my waist. Perfect fit, the shoulders weren't too puffy for me - I have a bit broader shoulders. Overall, love it!!

So cute, but not for me.

I was so excited to get this pullover. Unfortunately, the fit just didn't look good on me personally. Seemed to be really baggy/puffy in the shoulders and made me look "frumpy". The fabric was really soft and nice though! I wish it would have worked for me.

I got this jacket as a casual pullover but it turned out to be a lot warmer than I thought and it is super comfy and not thin like I thought. I ended up getting an XS when debating between the small and XS. It fits good even though the small probably would have been fine too. The torso is a little too long for me but I have a short torso. Over great jacket.

Love!

I purchased this jacket for a friend, who loves it. She says: "Definite hit in my closet. Very casual and fun, love that I can just pull it over my head. The front pouch pockets are great – not only are there side holes for your hands but the top lip opens too into a small pocket (great for sunglasses or cell phone). Also really nice that the sleeves are insulated."
