Roam through the wilderness in comfort with the Marmot Women's Lobo's Short. Constructed from lightweight stretch nylon, the fabric moves with you through difficult terrain and wicks sweat and dries quickly to keep you cool and dry. It also sports a DWR coating to help it shed light rain. The DriClime waistband manages moisture and won't chafe, and an inseam gusset panel enhances range of motion. UPF 50 sun protection shields your skin from harsh UV rays when you're hiking at high altitudes.

    Super comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I love the Marmot Lobo's shorts, they're lightweight, perfect for hiking and climbing, and have a bit of a natural stretch to them. They are also a really great length. I generally live in my MTB shorts, which are naturally longer, so I'm most comfortable with longer length shorts and find them really versatile.

The only downside is that the Dark Zinc looked sort of like a sage/grey color in the photograph, however they are definitely just grey in person, I would have liked a bit more color in them, but will keep them because they are super comfortable.

I'm going to like these shorts

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 12

It's been a while since I wore "Bermuda" shorts, so I'm glad I found a good fit in this new-again style. I like the fabric blend; I also have these in black, as well as Khaki. In fact, I ordered the long pants, too, but they don't make a Short, so will have to alter. The cut is comfortable and good for my (senior) 12.

    Fit is odd

    • Size Bought: 2
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 120lbs

These shorts run a bit large. I'm 5'4", 120# and a size 2 sort of fit. They're tight in the thighs and hips and have a huge waistband. The Prana Halle shorts in size 2 fit much better.

    Too big :-(

    • Fit: Runs large

According to the size chart I should wear a 4 (25" waist). I accidentally ordered a 2, and they are way too big! I can almost pull them off without unzipping them. Such a bummer because I have several pairs of Marmot hiking pants from years past, and they are sizes 2 and 4. Marmot used to run small. Maybe I got a size 6 marked as a 2? The fabric is great -- the same lightweight, slightly stretchy, water-repellant (in light rain) that I have bought before.
