Limestone Tent
The Marmot Limestone 6P Tent isn't really something you want toss on your back and head out on the trail with, but for car camping or backyard excursions, it's the perfect shelter for the whole family. It sleeps six without trouble and is tall enough—over six feet—that even the adults can stand up without bumping their head on the ceiling. And with its sturdy, waterproof design, you won't have to worry when an unexpected storm threatens your plans.
Once it's pitched the whole crew will have plenty of space to sprawl out thanks to its Zone construction, which uses vertical walls to create a feel that's downright palatial when compared to other tents. Spacious vestibules provide plenty of space to store soggy boots and other gear, so the kids aren't tracking mud into the tent. Vents in the fly keep the air in the tent from getting too stuffy and stale when you're waiting out a storm, and the reflective guy-out points keep you from tripping and bringing the whole shebang down in a heap when you make a mad nighttime dash to the bathroom.

Marmot fan
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:
- True to size
We used this tent for two nights and I'm always impressed with the quality of Marmot products. I'm 6'1" and I can stand up in most parts of the tent. This is a pretty bulky, heavy tent when packed so you wouldn't want to hike with it or have to carry it very far. Works great for camping in the car. It doesn't come with any supports for the vestibule door but I found a couple long sticks where we were camping and they worked fine to hold it open when we need to.

Broke in minor wind - Damage not covered
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Recently had one of the main poles snap during a mild bout with wind. Held up fine on the first day, and on the second day we returned to our site to the pole having completely snapped and the tent could not stand on it's own anymore. Duct Tape was no use here, as it still did not stand a chance after the pole snapped. Had to cut our trip short... Was happy with the tent prior to this incident. Apparently a pole snapping is considered normal "wear and tear" and is not covered by Backcountry nor Marmot. Very disappointed as this tent is over $500! Only used it 5 times before this incident and purchased less than 1 year ago.

Does not have awning poles
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I set this up in my basement before a family camping trip. The pictures of this product show the vestibule turning into an awning but it does not come with poles to do this. I rigged some poles to the right height but they fall inward toward each other so you would have to rig a 3rd pole between the two to separate them. Too much rigging for an expensive tent. I typically like Marmot products but am not impressed with the material thickness - seems a bit flimsy compared to another tent we bought. Interestingly the Marmot website does not show the awning option and would suggest that Backcountry takes that picture off the product page. To Backcountry's credit - they shipped it to me overnight and gave me a free return which is why I buy from this website. Thanks!

Roomy, water-tight, easy to set up
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
THE perfect tent for a family of 4. We’ve endured a few rain/hail gushers and stayed dry. Great design in all aspects, and I can set it up myself (but it sure is easier with my 2 young boys helping me). Love the open roof for looking at stars, which I nearly always have to cover with a rain fly in the middle of the night (again, by myself, when the family doesn’t want to get out of their bags). Provides lots of air flow even with fly on, which limits the interior mosture. I did a lot of research before buying this tent, and so glad we landed with this gem. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Love the Limestone
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a great tent so far. We used it at a festival for three days and compared to our old tent this is splendid. The things I like best were easy setup, and the zippers. I can easily setup the tent along. The way these zippers work makes them much less likely to jam up then any other tent I've used. There's nothing that sucks worse than a jammed up zipper at 2:00 am when you are trying to get out quickly. ;) I'd also like to say thanks to Backcountry.com for their fantastic customer service. The first tent that arrived had some kind of defect in the waterproof coating that made it sticky. When I called to ask what I should do there were no questions and a replacement was shipped out that same day.

Perfect Car Camping Tent
Spacious and luxurious. Plenty of room for the two adults an infant and a dog bed. The venting is great, even in morning sun it didn't over heat like some other tents. Pretty straight forward set up and take down, which was easier with two people but not necessary. The tent fabric is very sturdy and feels incredibly durable. This was exactly what we needed as a base camp for family adventures!

It's Huge
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This tent is huge! I'm 5'9" and can't stand up easily. Lots of ventilation and super easy to setup. My only complaint is the rain fly developed a small tear on one of the seams. Marmot offered to warranty it for no charge.

Trekking Pole Awning
This awning feature is meant to be used with your trekking poles or custom made poles. Marmot does NOT manufacture these types of poles, for this purpose.

Love it!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a great tent and super easy to set up! It rained quite hard and we had no leaking problems, very dry. Plenty of space for my husband (6ft tall) to stand up and move around fine. I did not give it 5 stars because I do wish it was more breathable (heat inside felt the same as my brother's springbar)... I also wish a bit more durable, for dogs and kids playing.... I've got to do a patch! Still happy with the tent overall though!

Very Happy with this purchase
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I've now taken the Limestone 6P on two trips, and it hasn't disappointed. In high winds and high humidity in Newport, RI, it held up great and let in no moisture. On an island off the Maine coast, it was a great shelter on several chilly nights. Ease of setup is fantastic. And this tent is really, really big. I am 6'1" and can stand up inside without hitting my head. The only negative I've encountered so far is the bag for the fly. It is too small. I ended up buying a larger compression bag, rather than fight to fit the fly into the Marmot bag every time. I did extensive research on 6 and 8-person tents. Came down to the Marmot and REI Kingdom. I went with Marmot because it's a brand I trust, and it hasn't disappointed.

great tent
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This tent is large enough for our family of 3, has kept us dry in a 16 hour long rain storm, dumping inches of rain. This tent is far easier to set up than the REI Kindom, the other tent I was considering. I did purchase the ground cloth just because i am accustomed to using them. Venting is not great, but it has not been an issue since i prefer to camp in cool weather. finally, I wish the vestibule was larger or atleast taller. The long poles did develop a slight bend but I have read this is to be expected. Overall, I am very happy with this tent.

Luxurious Accommodations
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I picked this tent up for car camping. It is giant! It has plenty of room for a queen sized air mattress, a dog bed, and any gear I need to stow. Venting is sufficient, and there are lots of storage pockets. The materials seem very durable and I expect they will hold up for years to come. Set up is easier than I expected. Really the only drawback to this tent is how heavy and large it is when packed. But this isn't designed backpacking, it's intended to be a luxurious apartment away from home.

Great tent
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Overall really happy with this tent. The front door is all mesh which is nice because you can open up the vestibule and see outside when the fly is on. I wish the other door was mesh, at least partially, so you could get some more cross ventilation and have more views. All in all the quality is great, the materials and construction of the tent is top notch and there's a great balance of protection verse being light weight. The zippers are smooth and strong and the setup is easy with two main poles and two auxiliary poles.

Great tent, but leaked
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I love this tent, it has tons of room for two people for an extended camping trip. It easily fits a queen size air mattress and gives you room to stand up in the tent. We've used it several times and find it easy to put up and take down, despite its large size. The only problem we've had with it is water that wicks through through the tie downs for the vestibule door. This water will drip into the tent forma puddle on your floor. This happened to us during a wet weekend in Virginia, and it's not fun. I sealed the tie downs with waterproofer, and we'll see if that fixes the problem.

Great Tent
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
This is a great tent for a family or just someone who likes some extra room and doesn't care too much about size/weight. As with all Marmot tents I've encountered, it is easy to set up, has all the right features like little pockets and stuff, and seems to be great quality.

Hello Megabank! It definitely does come with the poles! However, it does not come with the footprint, you will have to buy that separate. You can find that footprint by typing in the code "MAR014I" in the search bar above. Let me know if you have any questions, contact details above!
