Good fit for shorter. bigger guys
I am 5ft 7in and 250 lbs and barrel chested. I am basically built like Gimli from Lord of the Rings - a walking fireplug. I am active and I like to do outdoor activities. However as a bigger shorter guy I was having trouble finding an outer shells that fit, in other brands the torso or arms were too long in size XL and size Large it was tight in the chest and wouldn't fit an under layer. This one fits PERFECTLY. Additionally the pit zip pockets are great for ventilation. There are front chest pockets that are large and nice, however there are not traditional hand pockets - but if you are wearing a base layer then the pit zip pockets allow you to easily access the pockets in your base layer which is awesome.

Perfect for the Alpine.
I used this jacket for this last ice season and was thoroughly impressed. I’m pretty picky about my shells and this passed the tests. It didn’t ride up in my harness and had pockets high enough to access while in a harness. It repelled water with no issue and shows no signs of needing another waterproofing anytime soon.

Solidly fabricated [ An understatement], your new best friend in a sudden storm or non-stop deluge. Pockets, flaps, pulls in all the right places. The hood actually works---not a mere afterthought.

Dry, Water and snow Shell

Not a true ski jacket
It looks nice, and I really want to like it, but it's one of those examples of form over function. It's advertised as a ski jacket but lacks many pockets. There are no forearm pocket to keep ID card, nor there are any lower side pockets. They're just long armpit vents. There are only two large chest pockets, and they're purely for storing stuff, not to put your hands in if you intend to keep them warm.

It's a good jacket!!
I just got this jacket so don't know what this would do when I ski. Workmanship is excellent and materials are 3 layers so it should be keep me warm.
