Awesome 4 season pant!

I loved these for ice climbing this year with long underwear layered underneath. You can treat these like a great lightweight soft shell pant as the water resistance in the knee and butt panels are awesome for springtime and dry ice climbing weather. I’ve now transitioned into my rock and canyon guiding season in Moab and they’re fast drying for the pothole swims but also do just fine in the warm desert heat especially with the UPF rating. I find myself reaching for these most days this spring and I hope they get back in stock soon! Never has a pant fit so well!

Favorite pants ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mid weight soft shell pant. Sick features like the cuff cinch and the reinforced knees. Used all winter for ice and now rock in the spring.

Pretty good pants.

Overall i like them, although a wider variety of colors would be better (Im thinking tan). I think they are a little stiff and noisy though. I have an REI pair of softshell pants that are on their last legs. So this is a replacement for those. I like the two pockets on the legs. So overal a good pant, not a great pant. Thats why i would give it a 3 1/2 star, although not an option.

Ultimate Alpine Pant

These are my go-to pants for anything mountain related, that is too chilly for shorts. Great for climbing, hiking and backpacking. Water resistant, quick dry, solid fit. Love the stretch. Highly recommend!

Sizing

Pretty great pants. Marmot has become a hit or miss for me unfortunately. however with that said some of my all time fav pants have come from them. I have learned with marmot pants, order both sizes you are contemplating because the waist varies from pant to pant. In some i am a 34, and in some a 32. Since new, cant give hand to plow time testing but i think these will be a good pick!! Really, hope the stitching holds up .

Good improvement over last model. Great pants

Really good pants for everyday. I also have a pair of the older model and then new ones are a bit more fitted with different materials around movement points. Really nice.

Fits Nice- Little Toasty

I first ordered the normal length Highland pants size 30 which is the size I wear for most of my pants and they were way to long. I returned the normal length and ordered the short version and they fit nicer and extend plenty over my hiking boots. I used these pants on a 12 day backpacking trip in the Peruvian Andes during early spring in which we had snow, rain and sun. I tend to run warm in all clothes when I hike but aside from the snow days I found these pants too warm for normal hiking even in 30-40 degree weather and I went for the Transcend hiking pants for warmer days as they are thinner. They are more tapered as you move down the pant leg which makes me like the look of them as opposed to the more baggy transcend pants. All in all they are a good pair of pants for cold winter activities.
