Halo Tent: 6-Person 3-Season

The Marmot Halo Tent's extra-large interior easily holds all six members of your family during a weekend trip, and its four-pole design withstands a stormy day in a remote base camp. Marmot used a double-door, double-vestibule design to allow easy entry as well as provide tons of out-of-the-rain storage space for boots and packs. The 81-inch interior height allows a six-foot person to easily stand up straight in the middle. Needless to say, there will be plenty of room for card games when you're stuck in the Halo Tent during a three-day storm.

Did Not Receive Package lost

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I was really looking forward to receiving this tent for fathers day my husband really wanted it. I never received it. UPS lost it somewhere. I have tried contacting the company for a full refund and have not heard back yet from them either. I am highly disappointed in this whole experience and will not be using them for future purchases and would still like my money back. This was not a cheap tent.

Very high quality tent!

tip.. the pictures show the front rain-fly erected like an awning but the tent does not come with poles to set it up like that. After a quick chat with my gearhead (who contacted Marmot), I was directed to the Kelty Staff Pole, Item #KEL006C. These poles work great to setup the awning style entrance. https://www.backcountry.com/kelty-staff-pole

Best Tent

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

We have three kids, and this tent is perfect. I love the halo too, and my kids love the orange color. We’ve used it three times this year. Twice we needed the rain cover, and it was awesome—kept everything dry. It’s easy to set up, take down, and store. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely love this tent

I've used it several times

We absolutely love our new tent, it is just perfect for our family. Here are some of the things that we love about it: • The set up is very easy and intuitive; the first time we set it up was in the dark and we didn’t have any trouble at all. • The front and back vestibules are wonderfully useful. They provided great protection for our stuff and are very convenient when getting in and out of the tent. • The tent has great interior space; we love that you can stand up in it. • The interior space is not only big but has a lot of storage including many side pockets and ways to hang things like lights. • The tent stood up great in a large thunderstorm. The thunderstorm moved in and hit the broad side of the tent, it shed the rain well and withstood the wind without any problems. We have really enjoyed our new tent and are looking forward to a lot of fun family camping trips with it in the future.

Camping in Comfort!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I took this tent out with 4 of my buddies and everyone was shocked by how roomie it was! Everyone could stand up easily and there were a plethora of gear pockets to keep everyone's belongings secured and separated. The tent held up to a thunderstorm no problem and was condensation-free the next morning! Though this tent is definitely not the lightest, it is built extremely well, is a breeze to put up, and feel like a tiny house when you're inside!

Now That's A Tent!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Took this tent to our families annual Lake Powell trip, and I was impressed. I'm sure you know how roomie it is, from reading all the other comments. But now of them mention the durability on this bad boy! We got hit with a rain/wind storm one night. Having wind up to 30mph. Our tent held up just find, keeping us dry. The well designed rain-fly kept our tent sand free as well. Sadly our neighbors tent next camp over was in the lake water with all their gear...

Big-ass Tent

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Holy crap is this an big tent! With plenty of room for a 6'4" guy to stand up fully inside, it sleeps 3 VERY comfortably and could easily fit 6 as advertised, maybe even 7 if you got some shorter or smaller people. It's very easy to setup, with color coded poles and large printed instructions on the inside of the carry bag. I love the small pockets on the roof designed so you can stuff a headlamp into and it'll diffuse the light to nicely light up the interior.

This is an awesome desert tent! Stand up and change with ease in this tent! Very easy to set up and take down. 2 floor windows to open for extra ventilation, 2 big doors to enter and exit the tent.

They got the name right!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My family of 4 recently used this tent while camping in the desert. Our other friends have the Marmot Limestone 6 and we noticed that the interior heights were similar but with the "Halo" feature it really gives you some extra space around the top. The floor space is generous, we filled up a large air mattress and still had room on the floor to put all of our clothes and food. We have an 11 month old and he was able to crawl around with no problem. For the price I really wish they would have included a footprint. The vestibule on one side is very large which is great, it doesn't really exist on the other door so you need to orient the rain fly accordingly. We made sure to always enter and exit through the same door with the larger vestibule as it was easier to take off shoes and stuff on that side. The doors are extremely large and the little pockets that are included in the bottom make storing the door easy and convenient. It also includes 4 gear stash pockets in the top, loops for lanterns and small gear pockets around the bottom of the tent, this makes finding your headlamp or keys easy. Overall, I highly recommend this tent for anyone looking for a 6 person tent. I would pick up the footprint as it totally helps to keep your tent clean.

Marvelous!

Only used once but can tell this base camp tent will be with me for life. I've been camping and hiking my whole life of 41yrs and used every type of gear imaginable. The design and quality that went into this tent make it an extreme value. I highly recommend if you are looking for a tent that is roomy enough for 6, or even extended stays for 2.

No regrets

Bought the Halo 6P, didn’t have a chance to set it up in the yard for a first run, but at the camp site I set it up without help quickly and easily. Despite knowing better I forgot to line up the color coded tabs on the footprint and rainfly but a quick adjustment had things back on track. Tons of room. Great quality. Take down was a breeze.

A lot if room

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Easy to assemble and a lit of room. Not something to bring backpacking is kind of bulky and easily 30 lbs
