Great double walled tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tent to replace my old 3 season tent. Overall, I am impressed with the construction and features. I really like the double wall for extra warmth. Good amount of space, and looking forward to have two doors A few places for improvement: the upper vent doesn’t have a screen, so bug could potentially enter this when open. The poles connect in the center with a piece of plastic, not sure how long this component will last.

Excellent Sturdy Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this beauty out 4 times now. Twice in the snow and temps the first night dropped to degrees. Zipped up and hunkered down with plenty of room for gear and my 40 pound Australian Kelpie. For a winter tent it is pretty light and very sturdy. I used longer, thicker stakes because the ground in PA can break and bend stakes easily.

Great tree line 3 to 4 season tent

Let me start by saying, this tent is a hidden gem. If you are looking for a winter tent at a low backpacking weight or a base camp tent, this is it. 3 nights of snow, 3 nights of rain and a total of 12 nights altogether and only in sub freezing temperatures. Durable, well built and warm. Polyester rip stop rain fly is excellent for snowy weather. Venting is excellent. I can also see this tent being used for desert environments when sand spindrift is blowing. The only issue I had was the stakes. They are very ultralight and will break when putting them in frozen ground, mine did. I have replaced them with MSR Ground hogs. Pitch this tent properly (like every tent should be) with a footprint and you will feel very secure. No leaking, no sagging, very spacious, plenty of room for winter gear and 1 person. Don?t overlook this tent, it?s a winner. 3 thumbs up

Not waterproof

We invested in this tent because we wanted something that was 3-season, waterproof, and lightweight. The tent is lightweight. We found the tent to be quite warm (we were camping in the summer but hope to use it in the fall). During our trip, we had pouring rain a number of times. I would say that the rainfly is waterproof. When I packed up our mat, at the end of the trip, the floor of the tent was wet. We stayed dry overall but felt some moisture coming through the lower part of the sides at times. I have to say that I was disappointed that the tent didn't stay dryer through the rain.

High Quality Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tent a couple months ago and have used it in the time since. Setup is easy and intuitive, the materials are high quality, and the area is spacious enough. I am very glad to have this tent for future camping trips in the Maine woods.

Please clarify— I spoke to Marmot customer service & they told me that Marmot stopped using fire retardant in all tents around 2021. One of the previous answers here states that the fortress ul does have fire retardant. Is this a pre-2021 model?
