Rain protection he can take anywhere.

Thanks to the highly packable polyester shell fabric, the Marmot Boys' Ether Hooded Jacket can be stuffed into its own front pocket. So whether your boy's headed to school or starting up a trail, the Ether will easily fit in his pack and quickly deploy should the skies turn dark and stormy. The DWR finish shrugs off fat rain drops while the mesh underarm vents and wicking DriClime liner ensure he'll stay equally dry inside and out.

    • Polyester shell fabric with a DWR finish is wind resistant, water repellent, and breathable
    • DriClime Bi-Component lining wicks away perspiration to keep him dry and comfortable
    • Angel-Wing Movement prevents the jacket from riding up when reaching overhead
    • Fixed hood provides additional protection in stormy weather and can be rolled up when not in use
    • Mesh underarm panels provide ventilation
    • Entire jacket packs into its own front pocket for compact transport
    • Zippered hand and chest pocket keep valuables safely stowed
    • Reflective logos increase visibility in low light conditions

    Great jacket for kids!

Fits our son, who just turned 7, perfectly. Material is super soft and comfy compared to many rain jackets. He has not yet worn it in a downpour, but based on our experience with other Marmot rain jackets, we are pretty sure it will keep him dry.

      Awesome jacket

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

My son loves it and this happens to be his go-to jacket from bicycling to everyday school wear. On cold days he wears a layer of fleece underneath.

      great jacket

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

Purchased for my soon to he 5 for kinder garden great fit it does have a slim fit but is good for not too cold days where it can be worn with one shirt alone.

      Great jacket but fits small

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs small

My son loves the jacket. The brushed inside makes it comfy and the orange colour we ordered is nice and bright.

The jacket fits smaller than the Marmot Precip Jacket. His old precip was a size L, so we ordered this one in an XL (14/16). It is the same width as his precip size L. He typically wears a 14 (sometimes still fits a 12). The XL fits, but it won't last him too long.

Super jacket but long and narrow in size

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a really great jacket! I want it for myself now, but I bought this one for my son. He is five years old and 99% on height and weight; very long and lean and has to wear slim fit pants. Based on the Marmot size chart, he was to wear a medium (I also sized up a little thinking we could get a year's use out of it), so that's what I ordered. Though it fits him fine, it's not a perfect fit. I can't get over how the jacket is extremely long (overall length and sleeve length) and narrow. He has a year's worth of growth in it for height, but probably not for width. Not sure he could even wear it over a light sweater at this point. Otherwise I really think this jacket is GREAT!

I really like this jacket, the DriClime lining is nice because it doesn't hold moisture when the outer shell gets a little damp. It's even great on colder days if you are moving fast and sweating a lot to get rid of the moisture. Sheds snow nice. I liked it so much , I bought three more for the rest of my family : )

      Great buy!

I bought this for my 8 yr old son for a recent rafting trip. It worked great! He wore it one day when it rained and in the evening when it got cool outside. It's really light weight, so if the size or weight of your gear is important this is the right jacket. The color was spot on to the pictures, and it even has a light fleece-like lining on the inside. It's warm enough to feel like you are wearing something, but not hot at all. It kept the rain out really well, and his clothes underneath never even got damp. He really liked the jacket and we have used this several times since the trip. Great buy!
