    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Treated down on top and synthetic on the bottom help maintain warmth when the conditions are not ideal.

I enjoyed the wider shoulder girth that makes it not as claustrophobic as traditional mummy bags.

Great bag between 30 and 55 degrees

I've used this bag two nights camping under the stars in the mountains of Northern Utah at around 8,000 ft in late Spring. First night the temps were in the low 40's and it was really humid. The water resistant material was useful because there was a lot of dew on our bags in the morning but it kept me perfectly warm. The second night was really warm, around 60+ degrees but super windy. The bag is rated from 30 to 55 but I thought with the wind I'd be good. The bag blocked out the wind really well though and I had to unzip the side because I was too warm. I'm 6'3" so I ordered the long size and it fits nicely. It isn't as tight as my previous mummy bag which I like. Its also a lot lighter than my previous bag. Will be great for me in Spring and Fall here in Utah but it might be too warm for some summer nights. The inside material is soft. The zipper is good and my girlfriend loves its neon green/yellow color. Overall a great bag for most my camping conditions.

Considering my personal sleeping bag philosophy is to have a 30 degree and 0 degree bag for all seasons, the Marmot Electrum is my go to sleep bag from Spring to Fall. You'll get exactly what you expect from a 30 degree synthetic: warmth, comfort, and consistent performance. To quote one of my all time favorite songs from hit artist Edwin McCain, "I could not ask for more."
