Fit is right

I was confused by all the reviews which is why I’m writing. Yes the fit is slightly loose, but no where is Marmot advertising this as a ‘modern fit‘, ‘athletic’ or ‘slim fit’. It fits like any traditional men’s shirt from major brands (eg Columbia, Quicksilver, etc).

For a shirt made by/for a company associated with climbing and being active, the fit isn't at all athletic. A little too tight on the shoulders and very boxy with way too much material around the midsection and waist. I'm a 42 chest / 32 waist and bought a medium.

I have two of these shirts and will likely get another soon. They are definitely my favorite summer shirts. The weight is light but not too light, the fabric is very soft, wrinkle-proof out of the dryer and breathable. Fit's my build perfectly, loose fit without being boxy or baggy. Super comfortable and looks great. I just wish they had more colors.

Agree with those in the runs large camp. Fits like a potato sack with a hole in the top, very boxy.

I'm not sure why others had a problem with sizing, mine fits perfect. As soon as I got it, I tried it on, wife approved, so I washed it and wore it to work. The only thing I don't like is the limited motion. I have grown very accustomed to clothing that moves with me and has a bit of stretch. This shirt does not. It looks great though, so I will keep it. I have a slender build, and this will be a great shirt to wear in almost any setting. I do have my CCW permit and the waist area provides a touch a bagginess to aid in concealment. I paired it with Prana Zion pants and was very comfortable all day with a G19.

I love Marmot and their other shirts have been spot on with sizing. This shirt is huge. I'm 5'11" 170 lbs... bought a SMALL and it was baggy as hell.

Nice fit and sharp looking. Pretty impressed with this shirt. Fits true to size.

I bought these as a gift for my dad and he has gone out to buy several of the same shirt but in different colors. He loves the fit and the comfort but also enjoys the casual style. I now make fun of him whenever i see him because he is ALWAYS in this shirt.

Comfortable and Casual

Marmot does a fine job creating a product that rides the line between stylish for casual use yet functional for when I might head to the trail. The fabric is durable yet light and am not afraid to take it on the trail with me.

This has become my favorite summer shirt. I wear not just for outdoor activity but as a casual around town shirt. It has a nice soft feel to it and is very comfortable, and it looks good. I'm kind of a "tweener" on sizes between Large and Medium depending on the shirt. I got this in Medium, and it has a generous fit, which means it fits perfectly on someone like me who is kind of between sizes. It's also wrinkle-free out of the dryer. I love this shirt.

I have two of these shirts and liked them very much until they kept snagging on nearly everything, chairs, washers, jackets, etc. Both shirts are no longer usable.

Great Shirt

I got my brother this shirt as a birthday gift. He said it is more of a baggy fit and hangs longer with a squared bottom. Nicer office-style look made with denser satiny fabric. Good collar.

I got this shirt so I was not always wearing beat up cotton tees. The shirt looks really nice but I could have probably sized down. Most T Shirts I wear are an XL but this as a button down was much larger than expected. I still kept it because it looked nice and did not look too ridiculous. if I purchased another one I would size down.

These is a comfortable and breathable shirt. I have largely worn it casually, as it is not as comfortable or sweat wicking as other hiking shirts I have (e.g., Prana). Great design, but does run a bit large (not a slim fit).

Very comfortable shirt. Handles sweat well. The material of the shirt is little heavier than I expected, but doesn't feel that way when worn.

Im 1,86 m and 80 kg, I dont know what size to choose, M or XL? because L is not available. thanks!

You are almost exactly the same size as me, and I wear a medium. So I would go with a medium. XL would be very baggy on you.
