    High and dry.

From shredding groomers out in Colorado to flushing through powdery, rolling glades in upstate New York, the Marmot Men's Durand Pant keeps your lower half comfortably dry—all day long. Made with a nylon ripstop fabric, and fortified with a three-layer NanoPro membrane, this pant is completely waterproof, breathable and abrasion-resistant, which means it can handle every obstacle that a day in the mountains might send your way. The thigh vents feature water-resistant zippers, that when combined, ensure a quick cool down after working up a sweat earning your turns. An adjustable waist is constructed with an snap closure and zippered fly that helps prevent potentially embarrassing situations when you've forgotten your belt, and internal gaiters (with gripper elastic) do their part to stop snow from soaking your boots. Plus, zippered pockets round out this pant for safe transport of your on-hill necessities.

    Purchased for my son

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 130lbs

My kid looks great in these skyline blue Marmot Durand pants paired with a brick Leadville Soft-shell Marmot jacket. Great colors and great fit. My son says the pants are super comfortable and the vents on the side only zip down to about the knee, which is actually a nice feature. Very well made and true to size. However, if you're a bit overweight and/or a big dude like I am, steer clear of Marmot because their gear is built for people on the skinnier side. Nonetheless, the construction is top-notch and the $ was a fair price. Very happy.

    Dry and Breathable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These pants are awesome. I have worn them in every condition since getting them. Cold and snowy, warm and sunny, and wet and snowy. The big vents are great for exhausting heat fast when moving up hill. They keep you dry when the snow is wet but they breath like a softshell. They are also tough when you have to bushwhack to and from your line. The slimmer fit is super nice.

    Nice quality

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 170lbs

I like the quality and the features. Just the right amount of pockets. My street pants are 31-30. I'm 5'7" 170 lbs (stocky) and these fit extremely tight in a small. Having had luck with mediums (too large) from other brands, I though the sizing chart put me in the range. Had to return

    New go-to pants

These things rock! Very functional...I used these for everything, but primarily winter hiking and snowshoeing -- I haven't found a better option than these. First, the material sheds water as you would expect, and the nana pro breathes well. I like the zipper pockets, and the leg zips really dump any heat. In fact, I often will wear these enroute in the car to the mountain trail and keep the pit zips open -- beats having to change into snowshoe gear when you get there! They've held up well and the scuff guards have paid dividends against the snowshoe edges. Super comfy, and I wear them on the town, road tripping, and everywhere really. I wear a light base layer under these, and will use them spring skiing (temps at/above freezing). True to size.
