    Great Bib

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'3"
    • Weight: 195lbs

This is my first bib and it performs just how I hoped it would. Great wind and water resistance. Comfortable, not too-tight, not too-loose fit. Cuffs are just big enough to get around my Driver X boots (an expanding button at the bottom still would have been nice ). Keeps the snow out without causing any restriction in movement. I'm very happy with the purchase.

    My first bib

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 175lbs

I thought that these bibs fit perfectly. I'm 6ft and weigh 175-180lbs with a 32 inseam. The straps are adjustable and the legs have room for you to layer up if you want to. You are provided plenty of pockets and ventilation and these bad boys are comfortable. These bibs have kept me dry and warm, I'm relatively new to skiing and snowboarding, so I've made contact with the ground and powder more than most. I actually wish I bought a different color (I bought the gray). Aside from the slopes, I've used these for ice fishing too. I intend to use these for a long time.

    These bibs are great.

I am so surprised with other low rating reviews here that I even went through this unreasonably long and annoying procedure of creating an (useless) account here on Backcountry to be able to write this review. I have owned Marmot pants before and they were great. I just got a little awwwwwww... bigger during last several years and those pants doesn't close on my belly anymore. So I desided to go with bibs this time and stumble upon these ones, thanks to end of the season discounts. No, I am still not fat, I am 5'11", 180 lbs, and these bibs fit me just perfect (Size M). The materials are good, both inside and out, zippers are of top quality, the bibs look good and, most important - the are very comfortable ski pants. I've gotten them in green and I should say that the color here on the photo represents the actual color of the pants quite accurate. I totally recommend this product to every skier!

    Waste of money

    • Fit: Runs large

I've never had anything made by Marmot. However I assumed that no matter what the product is it would be amazing, because the name carries with it a certain air of excellence. I read 8 different websites review of these bibs and I settled on getting them. 7 out of 10 for warmth they said. These are 2 sheets of paper thin. Not warm. I do see the danger of having hyper insualted pants. But someone. These feel like a pair of windbreakers, especially around your butt. If these were in a thrift store for 30 dollars I would be content with my purchase.. not 270 something. They did stay dry, however I'm very unimpressed with them overall. Zippers feel cheep and the leg vents take 2 hands to close. I would save 100 dollars and get some from someone else.

    :(

These bibs are not all they cracked up to be. Despite what is mentioned they are a true 2 layer bib in that they have a tricot lining throughout the bib. So they are not a hardshell style bib. They get clammy and the thighs wet out almost immediately if you are sitting on the chairlift and it is snowing. After only three days they had a blown seam around my hip area. The upsides are that the pockets are well laid out and have burly zippers, the bad thing is that there are gaps on either end of the zippers allowing precipitation to enter the pockets.

    Great construction, didn't fit

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 160lbs

I'm 5'7" #160 with 30" inseam. Bought a medium size, had to return because legs were way too long (like 4-6" too long). The rest of the bibs fit well and the construction is awesome. I was considering having them professionally shortened but the seam construction would've made it really expensive. I returned the medium and I'm considering ordering a small but haven't pulled the trigger.

    Awesome bibs

First bib owner as well. These things are AWESOME! Thick, durable quality. Great for touring with the vents too. I did ride them on a bit hotter of a day, and it seemed like the outside did get a little bit damp while sitting in the snow. On cold days, they are great though. Perfect bagginess. Looks steezy when riding. Looks goofy when not, because of the bell bottom type look with the huge boot cut. I am so glad I purchased these. I would compare quality with FlyLow. Shred in style with these sick bibs.

So far I love these bibs. I've always wanted bibs and these aren't disappointing. They are comfortable to wear, stretchy in all the right places and aren't too baggy. This side leg zips are nice and vent really well and there are plenty of pockets for snacks or whatever else you want to ski with. My waist is around 33 or 34 and the large fits me just right.

    I am bringing bibs back

    • Size Bought: large
    • Height: 5'10"

These things are the best! I received them for a Christmas gift and I love them. I have already skied/boarded them 5 times. The zippers are easy to grab with gloves on. The chest pocket is ideal for your phone. The material is tough. The leg vents are perfect. I am not sure how I would improve the design, more colors? Plus, at least a half dozen people at the resort commented on how sweet they are.

I've worn these about 14 days this year at Keystone, Abasin, on cold 4F days.. I really, really like them. All good, no bad, well made, look great!

I layer compression and some thin thermals on 30F days, throw on a bulk lower layer for colder days and bingo.. warm and well regulated all day. Bibs are the way to go for all days..they let you be more flexible with all other layers.

Fitment- I'm 5'10" 175 33"W 32L and bot the Large size. I layer 2-3 lowers, plus sweats (cold daisies) and a POC VPD shorts...and they still fit with room to move. Mediums maycould work for spring and fewer layers.

Pockets- good, several and accessible. the zip pulls are sturdy. I really liked the grey color but went with the BLUE..

Length is standard to measurement without a bunch of Armada bunching at the bottom.

    The gooD- everything about them.
    NoBADdays.

Monad - looking at getting these bibs, but saw another review from REI that said they wet out. You seem to have the review with the most uses, have you had any issues with the waterproofing? Much appreciated! - Joe

Hi Joe, didn't see this.. I didn't think to check comments on the reviews I left, my bad.

A: No they don't wet out.. I ended up with 50+ days this year (zeros to mid 30's) and these were my go-to pants.. I spent most my days in the trees/bumps, heavy activity, never had a performance issue. I'm guessing the person complaining about the WET, didn't know how to layer or had some other fitness issues where exertion created gallons of moisture internally.

Marmot gear is so well made, they still look new hanging in my closet.

I bought the La Meije jacket too and wow, super build quality.. I slammed so many trees, branches, trying to tear off my arms.. Still have some bruises but the jacket looks new.. unreal stuff.

Just what I was looking for

These bibs are perfect. Fit as advertised, all day comfort, plenty of pockets. These are warm but not bulky. Side vents are perfect to let heat out. Well constructed and they keep me warm and dry.

    Unanswered Question

Do these have a full length side zipper? Would like to be able to put them on and remove them with boots on.

    What are the vents like?

Anyone that has these pants, are the vent zippers on the inside of the leg? Outside of the leg? And how large are the vents? Anyone know if these are good for touring?

    Thanks

I like this guy's question :) I ended up purchasing these and the leg vents are up higher by the hips, but are long and open plenty to allow a nice breeze on hot days and on touring days. Great for touring.
