I spent a long time looking for a sleeping bag that would keep me comfortable on both chilly and warm nights. This bag is brilliant for that. I seriously don't know why all bags are not designed with the versatility that this one has. It's roomy enough for side sleepers and it has so many sleeping options. Being able to zip your feet in, or have them completely free is a game changer, also being able to unzip it like a quilt, to have one or two layers on top of you is genius! I took it on a five day kayak camping trip a couple weeks ago. A couple nights got into the low 40s with crazy wind. I was in a hammock with a cheep pad with basically no R rating and no under quilt so my back got a little cold, but thats to be expected in those conditions. I am also also very cold sleeper. The last couple nights were in the mid 60s so I was grateful to be able to open the bag up and let my feet vent. I was concerned about the packability of the bag, but I could get it into a 10 liter dry compression bag just fine. 14 liter would probably be easier, but I needed the diameter of the 10 liter to fit in my dry hatch. My only complaints are that the zippers snag more than some other bags and I wish there was a draw string around the neck bit to snug it up on cold nights. There is one on the hood however, so not that big of a deal. Over all a great bag with an amazing design, would definitely recommend.
