    Jester 16 ID Ski Binding

Marker's Jester 16 ID Ski Binding, the second most beefy alpine binding that Marker makes, excels on both the front and backside of the mountain. The versatile design will withstand big hits in the park and stomp big landings in deep pow all while preventing pre-release and helping keep you safe.

Equipped with Marker's Sole.ID technology, this binding is compatible with standard alpine boots and AT boots with lugged soles thanks to its adjustable toe height. The versatile 6-16 DIN range accommodates almost any style of skiing, whether you're the sort that lives for big drops beneath the chairlift, fresh pow between the trees, or big hits in the park. Marker's Inter Pivot heel is easy to step into, so you won't lose any time when you're hurrying to the lift on a pow day, and the burly magnesium parts will withstand some serious abuse, so you won't have to call your day short when you decide to go big off that cliff that's been calling your name all season.

Given as gift, but he loves them

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave this to father-in-law and got some serious brownie points. Packaging was pretty lack-luster, they had banged together enough to have some visible marks, but nothing more than the first run would do. Seem to be super well made and he was very happy and likes them much more than his old setup.

    Solid and worth it

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

If you are looking at these and comparing them to the griffon 13 it was was worth it to spend the extra money on getting these! They feel super solid and I haven't had a single problem riding them.

Classic Marker binding that has been continually approved upon. Great retention and reliability. Large surface compared to other bindings for great power transfer to the ski.

The Sole ID feature is nice if you have touring boots and a regular alpine boot so you can switch it up depending on conditions without having to change bindings.

These are an upgrade from the Griffons, as these have metal toe wings and heel bracket to increase durability and performance. If you are deciding between the 16s and 18s; only choose the 18s if you are an actual pro (if you are reading this, you probably aren’t pro, so go with the 16s), save some cash for PBRs and you will still have excellent bindings.
