    Keep on Rollin' Rollin', Rollin'

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My boyfriend bought me this Manduka Roller for Christmas last year, and it's been one of my staples in muscle recovery ever since.

I've never used a foam roller regularly before this, and I wish I had started sooner! I've heard that rolling muscles won't actively stretch anything, but I believe that rolling them out is more for massage and Myofascial release -- i.e. getting all the bad ju-ju out of those muscles. This Manduka roller really does the trick. I like to pair this with a deep restorative stretching routine so that I can lengthen my muscles after releasing all the tension.

The size is really convenient, so I can leave it under my desk at work and roll my back out after sitting all day. I also like the firmness of it -- painful at times when I'm really tight after climbing but it hurts so good.

I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for a simple roller that will get into all those hard to reach places.

    Make a Grown Man Cry

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This roller is great for rolling out tight muscles after a long day of activity or even before a workout. The best utility so far has been rolling out the glutes/hips which are generally harder to stretch on your own. I like how stiff this roller is so you can get some great pressure on your muscles.

    perfect roller

Does the job it was intended to do and it does it well. I love using this foam roller I feel that it is the perfect density when I roll out my back it pops it back into place and doesn't cause an discomfort on my spine or anywhere else I have rolled with it.

What I really like about this roller is that it is a good width without being excessively wide. It holds its shape/stiffness. I use it mostly on my calfs, quads, and IT band after cycling.

    Holy Roller!

I'm a big fan of the trigger point rollers but have had the plastic piping interior crack multiple times with other brands. Back to the basics and sticking with EVA now!. So far this one has survived, and proved to feel (and maintain) the perfect density. Way to go, Manduka!

    Worth it!

I love this roller! It has a little give so it doesn't hurt my spine when rolling like on other rollers that I' have used. I use it every day and don't know how I lived before! I recommend this product and if you're on the fence, just go for it! You won't regret it.

      Holds its shape over time

Some foam rollers develop a flat spot over time which is no bueno. This one has held its shape over the last 4 years and is still therapeutic.

      Perfect size for me!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love this foam roller! The foam used in the roller is nice and soft but still keeps it shape (no dents or imprints). It was shorter then I expected but I actually like it better because it fits my frame perfect and its easier to roll on. I would recommend this roller to any one who is new to foam rollers

I've used super dense rollers and ones that are too soft to accomplish anything. This one is perfect for keeping your muscles happy without turning rolling into a torture session. It's shorter than other rollers - most I've used are at least the length of my yoga mat rolled up. This one is 18", which I wasn't thrilled about at first because it was unfamiliar. I've decided that I like it though - does all the same stuff and takes up less space.
Beware if you have a household critter or full on menagerie like I do! This comes wrapped in plastic, which makes it staticky and every piece of fur in your zip code will be attracted to this thing. Ooops. I took a dryer sheet to it, and it's not attracting fur anymore, so save yourself the trouble and do that before it turns into a fuzz magnet. Also...this is not the kind of foam that will dent, but it IS the kind of foam your cat will want to obliterate. Don't leave it where those sneaky guys can get their claws into it.

      fan of the foam roller!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I've never used a foam roller before and thought it might be a good idea to help my sore muscles after a day riding on the mountain. This is a great first time roller because it is fairly inexpensive, but still great quality. I think the length is perfect because I don’t need to blast proton torpedoes into the Death Star in order to line up my shoulders for back stretches. In other words your shoulders will find this roller even when its behind you to work on back muscles! It only comes in one color but its a nice neutral color, so it works for me.

      Great beginner foam roller.

Honestly, this is the only thing that keeps me alive after long ski days and training sessions. If you exhale really deeply while rolling out your back, you can generally get your thoracic spine to crack, too! It's neither super firm nor super soft, so it's a great intro to foam rolling.

Me encanta, lo compre para mi novio por que le duele mucho su espalda, y esta super contento. Por fin encontré algo que ayuda con el dolor ya que es lo suficiente suave pero a la misma ves no es tan tieso. Estamos bien contento

      So Necessary

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this thing and keep it under my desk to use daily at work. You won't truly understand how amazing it makes your body feel until you try it yourself. This product is a good investment and you won't be sorry you made the purchase....

I have had a couple of different foam rollers and this one is by far my favorite! It has the perfect amount of density. This foam roller isn't too rough on your sore muscles. Just enough to get the blood flowing and loosen up your tightness. I go running and do yoga everyday and this has helped me stay ready to go every day.

      Great for hamstrings

My wife has another roller with ridges that wasn't quite working for me. As others have mentioned, the density on this is great, not too hard, not too soft. I use it mostly for my hamstrings, back, quads, and calves.

      Just right

Foam rollers are so hard to find sometimes because most of the time they are too soft or too hard. This foam roller is just right. soft enough to not feel like a steel pole but firm enough to get all that lactic acid out after working out. I love using this after bouldering to help relieve my muscles.
