Made for the modern alpine adventurer.
Built to meet the demands of serious climbers, alpinists, and mountaineers, the Mammut Trion Zip 28 Backpack is a modern alpine pack that offers all the features needed to help you reach the top. Rope and ice axe storage options keep you ready for big wall climbs and icy summits alike, and a sturdy suspension system manages even your heaviest loads.
The aluminum Motion V-Frame allows for comfortable, stable carrying even on your most gear-intensive missions. EVA padding on the back, shoulders, and hip belt provide lightweight cushioning, and the hip belt detaches so you can leave it at home when you're trying to shave weight. The hip belt is also narrow so it doesn't interfere with your climbing harness. Compression straps cinch down your load for better stability, and a large zippered flap opening offers easy access to your gear.

Trion Zip 22 Rock and Ice Climbing Pack
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The Trion Zip 28 pack is a great lighweight top loading pack. Features I require in a pack are simplicity, durability and function. This Trion Zip has one main compartment with a simple top load access. The ice axe attachment loops and velcro work very well with my Nomic Ice Tools. The larger padded hip belt is removeable with the smaller webbing belt remaining in place. This is a key point as the bigger hip belts get in the way when wearing packs on multi pitch routes. The inside zip compartment fits my phone, wallet and keys nicely. The Trion Zip 28 fits all my essential gear for a day on a multi pitch route or a day at the crags.
