Togir 3 Slide Harness

A versatile all-arounder, the Mammut Women's Togir 3 Slide Harness is both comfortable and performance-driven for sport climbs and multi-pitches in the alpine. Mammut's Split Webbing technology rids unnecessary padding and still keeps you comfy on hanging belays. This technology also keeps the harness superlight and super-mobile for gym climbing. Mammut laminated this harness for a flat design and maximum comfort.

The Togir 3 Slide features three Slid Bloc self-locking buckles, one at the waist and one at each leg. Adjustable leg loops accommodate multi-layered ice climbing outfits as well as the classic summer look. Mammut also designed this harness with a long-lasting tie-in protector, overmolded gear loops for creek-sized racks, four attachment loops for ice screw carabiners, a very strong haul loop, and a functional drop seat.

Great, but Gear Loops Not Good for Trad

I've used it several times

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I've used this harness quite a bit now. I love it for sport climbing, don't love it for trad climbing. The gear loops on this Togir 3 Slide harness are just too far back for me. When you're sport climbing it doesn't really matter, because you're just aimlessly reaching for any quick draw. However, when I'm trad climbing and I need to grab a specific size, it's hard to look so far backwards and find the correct piece. If you're strictly a sport/gym climber, this is a great harness! (I'm not an ice climber, so I can't say how well it works for that). Also, I'm obsessed with how pink it is! Everything about the Mammut Togir 3 Slide harness feels very sturdy and well made. I love the loop feature that's inside of the waist--it allows for you to tuck the other side of the waist into it so that it's not hanging out or sliding around. While I don't like the position of the gear loops, I do like the material they're made of and how sturdy they are. The leg loops are easily adjustable, but don't loosen easily which I think is a good thing. Overall, would be my favorite harness if the loop were just further forward.

Finally found a good fit!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I had a hard time getting a harness that fit someone my height and this one finally worked. I'm nearly 5'11" and wasn't finding a harness with a long enough rise between the leg loops and my hips (they were too short to go around my waist properly). A gearhead recommended the Togir because it would have a bit more adjustability. It hits the right spot around my middle without the leg loops riding up uncomfortably high, so if you're a taller woman I'd check out this model!

Thanks for the awesome review, Kehley! This is super helpful, it can be so hard to find a harness for taller ladies! Hope you get to use it in Utah soon! :)

Lightweight and good cushion!

I've used it several times

My previous harness for indoor climbing was a similar to the ones rented at the gyms, so I finally gave in and searched for a harness that would fit better and be lighter than the one I had. This one fit the bill perfectly! It sits higher in my waist and fits well around my thighs. While climbing indoors, this has enough cushion for resting in the midst of climbing. I love the belay indicator and the lightness of the harness itself.

Not sold on the gear loops

I'm new to leading and I tried this on at a local shop. Fit was great, felt comfy to hang in, but the gear loops don't stick out at all. I tried clipping some draws to the loops and was catching them on the shirt I was wearing since the loops were pretty flush against me. Maybe it's just that I'm new to clipping, but nonetheless I didn't want my gear loops to make things any more difficult for me than it needs to be. Went with the Petzl Corax instead based on price point, fit and comfort.

Higher waist than most harnesses

I've put it through the wringer

I wear my harness high on my waist and this one has the most comfortable fit of any that I tired with adjustable leg loops. The leg loops are thin but very cushy. I can easily hand in this for long periods. I also love that the belay loop has a wear indicator.
