Nice pants

The pants are well made with stretchy durable fabric. I can use them for everything from running to hiking and climbing etc. I'd give them a 10 but the waist is a little loose the rest of the fit is perfect.

Great year round ultra light trousers.

Great year-round trousers, these layer well. The seat does not sag as is typical with trousers made of similar fabrics. They launder, dry quickly, travel and store well. The belt loops make these practical for travel;trail to lunch or dinner and back to trail if circumstances call for same. Great for any level of experience.

Solid lightweight pants

I've used these for both climbing and hiking/backpacking and they have performed great in both aspects. After scraping against rock or hiking over deadfall there are no tears or holes and have held up great. They are thin and let wind/cold through, but that is expected for a pair this lightweight.

Like they're barely there

Love these pants. Great for sun protection on summer days, and the perfect weight for shoulder-season as well - have hiked in them on cool mornings (45F/7C) as well as while working hard up hills on warmer days (62F/17C) and they felt great - super breathable, ultralight, really stretchy and comfortable.

Slim but nice

I think the first thing that stands out about these pants is how slim/modern fashion fit they are. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing but just important to know. I am 6' 0" 165lbs with athletic build, moderate size runners legs (not elite marathon legs thin and not squat guru tree trunks either) and they are very form fitting. I wear a 32 in most all pants and these fit well, the material will stretch but just fits right over my lower leg and thigh and butt but not necessarily utilizing the stretch, if that makes sense. While the material is thin and shear feeling I actually think it might be surprisingly durable if used for some climbing or scrambling, but I haven't put it to that use yet, but I think while they are form fitting the stretch would allow quite a bit of mobility. Anyway, for now they have served well as a well made, nice color choices, functional pant that looks pretty stylish. I'm enjoying them but they not might be right for everyone.

Comfortable so far

Firs the bad, not great with water but also not terrible. Otherwise I've done some hikes in them and they're really comfy all the way through.

Men's runbold pants

So far they're great! The fit is very "athletic" in the thighs so you may want to up a size. I am 6'4 and 220 pounds and the long version is plenty on inseam length. The only reason I wouldn't give this a higher score is because the pockets are made of a thinner mesh that I could see tearing is a short period of use and they would be difficult to repair. Aside from that they're great!

Love these pants

Great lightweight pants, perfect for warm-weather hiking. No DWR, but they wick well and dry very quickly. After a full long weekend of car camping and hiking, they appeared nearly as fresh as if they'd just been washed. A size 34 (normal length) fits my 6'3", 185 lb frame perfectly.

Quality Design and Construction

The Runbold Pants by Mammut are an exceptionally well designed and crafted product. I have used these pants for multiple day hikes, paragliding, and everyday wear. Many little details in these pants including zippers for every pocket, velcro adjustable waist band, and the lack of a snap button makes up the pros I have found with these pants. Initially I was not a fan of how thin these pants were. However, I have now seen the strength of the material, and have changed my opinion on this. I would recommend these pants for all summer, spring, and early fall activities.
