Good for an outer layer
I purchased this for my mom for Christmas because she needed a new hiking jacket. My mom really likes it, but for early morning hikes, she definitely needs to have this as an outer shell. It was not warm enough to wear by itself. She has combined it with Aconcagua jacket, and that has worked out perfect. Next week she will be trying it out in the snow...let's hope they both work well there.
