A seriously thin and light single rope, the Mammut Revelation Dry 9.2 Rope stands above the rest for light and fast ascents on both rock and ice. This thin single rope weighs only 55g/m, so it will hardly add any weight to your pack for alpine ascents or multi-pitch ice routes, and it boasts Mammut's Dry treatment, which features both Coated Sheath and Coated Core technologies to keep your rope handling smoothly and free from excessive water absorption.

    Great rope

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Went from a 10.0 to 9.2 for the longer trips and it was a real nice change. The rope doesn't kink or curl up after running through the ATC quick. Light, easy to rappel with, easily ties to another rope, we tied to a 9.8 Mammut rope for a very long Rapel - about 200' at one of our Alpine climbs. Doesn't fray too bad on the rough and jagged rocks which you can't always avoid in the back country. Drys quick and doesn't hold too much dirt or debris. Great all around rope would buy another. Highest rated alpine climb was a 5.6, highest rated vertical TRAD climb was a 5.11 and worked great for both uses. We may go even lighter for our next alpine trip but it's nice having a heavy rope if you decide to do some vertical sh!t.
