For sport climbing at a moment's notice and competitions where lightness is key, Mammut integrated a high-performance harness inside the Men's Realization Short. Split Webbing technology, found on all of Mammut's best harnesses, separates the harness's webbing into two strands that ride over and under your hips in order to reduce weight, increase ventilation, and practically eliminate the necessity of padding without hindering your comfort or safety.
The shorts have the same closure as most board shorts, and the harness features an innovative closure that allows you to fully adjust both the waist and leg loops for your comfort. Two tie-in points rest horizontally to one another in order to keep you comfy during casual occasions without compromising the harness's strength. The shorts resist abrasion, offer a full range of motion, and feature two gear loops, a chalk bag attachment, a slide-in pocket for brushes, and two front and two back pockets.

Tight fit, doesn?t match description
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- L
- Height:
- 6' 2"
- Weight:
- 210
I bought the last size L and went by the sizing chart before doing so. That being said, it doesn?t fit great. I?m a 35/36 in most brands and the sizing chart said that the L can fit up to a 38. I can?t imagine someone 2 whole sizes up from me being able to slide into these. If I?m going commando, I can get them to sorta work. Whatever, I?m still keeping them. It?s an incentive to lose the COVID beer gut I grew. But to add insult to injury, it doesn?t actually come with any pockets as described in the ?details? dropbar. Kinda bummed about that. However I?m still in love with the idea of having a dedicated gym harness/shorts. I just wish there was some accuracy with the description. It?s little things like this why I hesitate shopping online. Someone at backcountry.com owes me a beer. ??
