    Add peace to dawn patrols.

Take the panic out of waking up before the crack of dawn by packing the Mammut Women's Nirvana Ride S Backpack the night before you go skiing. This backcountry-specific pack carries skis or a snowboard, and it hauls a helmet, goggles, hydration reservoir, and your essential avalanche safety gear. The Nirvana carries skis diagonally or at an A-frame, snowboards vertically or horizontally, and the helmet carry stows away during the descent. For support, Mammut equipped the Nirvana Ride with a light, stable aluminum frame wrapped in EVA padding for a comfort carry. The waist belt and shoulder straps also feature EVA, and you can remove the waist belt if your dawn patrol will be a quick cruiser.

    • Carry all the backcountry essentials in this ski pack
    • Stable frame with comfy EVA back, waist belt, and shoulder straps
    • Carry systems for skis, snowboards, helmets, goggles, and hydration
    • Front compartment for avalanche safety gear

Best day pack for ski patrol & touring

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my 'go to' day bag for ski patrol at Whistler Blackcomb. As a smaller female (5'4") the back panel is the perfect length for my shorter torso. Also the individual compartment for avalanche safety equipment (shovel, probe, saw) is really nice to keep separate from the main gear compartment (I keep puffy coat, lunch, water bottle, first aid and repair kits and more. I LOVE the smaller pocket with fleece lining for my goggles, and the other mini top pocket is where I keep me quick snack and leatherman/knife/tape to repair things on hill. Big plus is the helmet carrier on the outside; makes ski touring a delight to take my helmet off. I could go on and on about all of the features... I LOVE this backpack!

    Unanswered Question

    Hi all,

We have some wide skis that we need to accommodate. Does anyone know if you can get 125mm of ski tip through the ski holders toward the bottom?

If not, would the 'Deuter Freerider 24 SL' or 'Ortovox Free Rider 22' cope better?
