    Take the high road.

Tough and technical, the Mammut Women's Magic Advanced High GTX Boot is ready to tackle all your high-alpine adventures. The abrasion-resistant microfiber upper ensures durability while keeping weight down, and Gore-Tex shields you from snow and water while still allowing for breathability.

Base Fit 2.0 technology improves heel support, allows better feel, and keeps blisters at bay. The memory foam footbed forms to your foot for a customized feel, and the cushy, yet responsive, PU and EVA midsole takes the sting out of your step. The ultra-durable Vibram Maton outsole helps you keep your footing in treacherous terrain. Three-zone lacing lets you dial in the perfect fit for your foot. This boot is also crampon-compatible and rated to below-freezing temps so you can take it on glacier crossings and high alpine ascents.

    Warm and comfy in Alaska

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

These are good mountaineering boots. I'm a bit disappointed that the groove for bindings on the heel is not as pronounced but the shoe itself performed well and there was just enough to keep the rear bindings of my snowshoes from slipping; however, this was on an easy hike of only 4 miles. The ankle support is fairly high. (thus the name). On the plus, snow stays out of the boot. In the negative, they rubbed on my ankle bones, I'm hoping that with time, it'll soften but the shank on the sole is very firm and holds well providing the needed support. It was only -10 when we hiked and my feet didn't get cold, I don't know if they will keep my feet warm in colder temps but they were comfy! They were more comfortable then my heavy-duty hiking Lowas and outperformed my Asolo Mountaineering boots which didn't last through 2 seasons of hard use. The Mammut High GTX were the same great quality that you can expect from Mammut and were worth the money. I'll be taking them out Ice-climbing and onto a glacier next month and expect that I can rely upon them. They do well with crampons and absorbed the impact from ice and snow. If you're looking for a good affordable Mountaineering boot, these feel like they will provide comfort, stability, insulation and dependability without breaking the bank.
