Great boots

These boots are a really good product for the price. Keeps feet dry and warm. And pairs nicely with Grivel G12 evo new matic crampons.

Great fit and durability

Excellent foot protection, fit is excellent for me (wider fore foot, narrow heel). I used these for some summer mountaineering, a full season of wildfire fighting, and now are my warm-day winter boot when I need crampons. Highly recommend, they are so good I'm tempted to buy a second pair to have as backup. Oh almost forgot, they have excellent rear ward motion, ie you can point your toes to step down which really takes the strain off my knees on long steep descents

Scrambling Supreme

I've used these boots for three challenging scrambles in the Canadian Rockies and they have been fantastic. The grip on rock and the control in scree and crud have been outstanding. Mammut has other options for hiking and backpacking but for scrambling and beginning mountaineering these are outstanding, buy these boots

Mammut Kento

These boots had minimal break in time, kept my feet dry when the boots themselves were soaked, and preformed really well on snow as well as rock. They pair really well with my BD Stinger crampons (which I modified with a Petzel Fil Flex). Super happy with them and would highly recommend.

They fit well, grip many different terrain and ice, and they're warm and water proof.

I love the way Salewa boots fit my narrow feet. They are the best fitting brand I have found. However there was a Manufacturing issue with my first pair. The lace rings failed to stay in position and Salewa admitted that it was a manufacturing defect and gladly replaced the boot. When my new boot came I was surprised that I had the same issue. They gladly replaced them again. And the third pair had the exact same issue right out of the box. I am waiting for those replacements to come. I would not recommend this particular boot because it has a manufacturing defect and needs to be recalled and disposed of.

Solid Mountaineering Boot

These boots are solid! Stiff and great for backcountry hunting/hiking. Keep feet warm in winter conditions and tread was great. Fits foot well and light and comfortable for multiple mile hikes.

Great boot for hybrid mountaineering

The Mammut Kento Pro is great for off trail work, scrambling, and high angle work.

Great boot for small heels and thin ankles

Took these boots up 20k of vertical on Mt Rainier and Glacier Peak in the last month. I struggle with heel slip and rubbing in all La Sportivas and Scarpa models I've tried, but these fixed my problems. Would definitely recommend to anyone with similar issue looking for a solid mountaineering boot.

Very comfortable, Solid footing, excellent support!

After a trio of 90-degree ankle rolls in June 2019, some physical therapy to try and repair the ankle and ultimately having ankle surgery in Oct 2020, I had to find new boots that would give me more ankle support for my photography treks. During the time between the ankle rolls and when I bought my boots, I did a lot of research to find boots that would fit the needs I have a professional landscape/nature photographer. Since purchasing, I have done a number of treks and no longer have the trepidation of hiking on unstable surfaces. I have put these boots through everything I could imagine, including extended time in ankle deep water and the boots are just rock solid and keep my feet dry! Very happy I made the decision to purchase these boots!
