Why We Like The Mammut Haldigrat Air HS Hooded Jacket

When skipping the crowds and chopped runs for hard-earned, untouched lines, we zip into the Mammut Haldigrat Air HS Hooded Jacket for the performance the backcountry requires. The underarm vents dump heat as we climb the skintrack, while the windproof material and adjustable cuffs and hem stop crosswinds from chilling our bones. When fresh snow starts to fall, we cinch the hood over our helmet and watch the flakes slide right off the impermeable exterior. Once at the drop, we slip our skins inside the large chest pocket to keep them from freezing up on the descent.

  • Feature-packed technical shell for ripping lines off piste

  • Helmet-compatible hood gives added coverage with one-hand cinch
  • Zip-off powder skirt offers to keep the snow out on deep days
  • Adjustable cuffs and hem help keep out the elements

Sleeves short

I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:

Unfortunately I had to return this due the sleeves being short. I am 5'8" 140 lbs and the body fit perfectly, and the length was great, but the sleeves were too short. This is thinner lighter weight shell than some I looked at for backcountry use, and probably a better inclement weather hiking jacket than backcountry ski.

Love this jacket! Lightweight, great fit, and sturdy zippers. I wear this over an insulated jacket on super cold backcountry days.

Great touring jacket

I bought this because I wanted a longer jacket that would cover my behind and have deep pockets. I love the fit of the jacket over my layers, the variety of pockets have been great. There's a chest pocket to fit skins in, I don't use it but it's nice to have for other odds and ends like pocket snacks or a soft water flask. I'd honestly get this again. I've only worn it a handful of times out on full day tours. It lives in my pack when it's nice out, and has come in handy to help with wind and other elements.
