    You had me at purple!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. Purple is my absolute favorite color and when I opened my box from Mammut and saw this beautiful 70m Eternity Dry rope, it basically screamed in excitement! I've been looking for a new rope that I can put through the ringer for a while now, as I focus more and more on multi-pitch, rappelling, and just all of the things! I think the thing I love most about it, is how lightweight it was compared to my other rope and ropes I've carried in the past. Carrying all ya gear PLUS a rope up the stairmaster at Seneca is challenging and I was pleasantly surprised when I was carrying my eternity rope directly up hill and felt good! Its also just overall easy to manage. Again with how lightweight it is, rope drag wasn't an issue for me versus my previous rope, and lowering was so smooth. It's my new favorite rope and sooo pretty! I continue to get so many compliments on it. Mammut did really well with Eternity Dry Climbing Rope.

    This rope is real pretty...

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have the ocean/fire and it's almost so beautiful that I don't want to take it outside. I will be interested to see how it holds up over the year as it is going to be my main outdoor climbing rope.

    Sturdy Rope And Great Colors

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've only been able to use it a couple of times inside but I've been very impressed. I'll mostly be using for single pitch climbs and rappels and it definitely seems like it will get the job done. Plus the ocean/fire really does look fantastic.

    Most Beautiful rope ever!!!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used this over the weekend for a extensive trip to Squamish, and this rope does not disappoint. After multiple days of usage the rope still is as new. Can't wait to go on more climbs with this rope.

Also as the previous review says, the rope (ocean and fire) looks beautiful.

    Most Beautiful rope ever!!!!

    Pretty and strong

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Ocean/Fire is probably the prettiest rope I have ever owned and its tough too. took it up some OW and Squeeze on rough toulumne granite and the rope on the knot looked totally new after.

Has caught a lot of falls

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Solid rope, came lap coiled, but it still seemed to be very very kink-prone when I first got it. Seems like if it's not flaked with a good amount of attention to how the lengths of rope are oriented, you end up with a mess of coils. Now it has (mostly) no issues, and it is a solid rope for what I do with it: single pitch sport and some multipitch. Sheath has held up pretty well against a lot of heinous rope drag lowering, and while some of the sheathing is starting to show wear after ~6 months, I've also been using it quite a bit. Middle mark was pretty faded by around 2-3 months in, but I was climbing on it (all outdoors) 3-4 times per week. No core shots, and handles reasonably well. Does what I need it to do!
