- Q & A
Pretty and strong
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Ocean/Fire is probably the prettiest rope I have ever owned and its tough too. took it up some OW and Squeeze on rough toulumne granite and the rope on the knot looked totally new after.
Has caught a lot of falls
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Solid rope, came lap coiled, but it still seemed to be very very kink-prone when I first got it. Seems like if it's not flaked with a good amount of attention to how the lengths of rope are oriented, you end up with a mess of coils. Now it has (mostly) no issues, and it is a solid rope for what I do with it: single pitch sport and some multipitch. Sheath has held up pretty well against a lot of heinous rope drag lowering, and while some of the sheathing is starting to show wear after ~6 months, I've also been using it quite a bit. Middle mark was pretty faded by around 2-3 months in, but I was climbing on it (all outdoors) 3-4 times per week. No core shots, and handles reasonably well. Does what I need it to do!
