Eigerjoch Advanced IN Hooded Down Jacket

Gone are the days when you automatically reach for two insulated jackets for your big mountain trip. Now, when you dream about blue mountain skies and misty mornings, you need only the Mammut Eigerjoch Advanced IN Hooded Down Jacket to keep you warm. An impressive 850-fill down fill provides the high warmth-to-weight ratio that down is known for, but should you get caught in stormy weather, it will still offer shelter. Not only is the down treated to be hydrophobic, but Pertex Quantum fabric adds additional water-repellency for breathable protection that keeps you comfortable.

Mammut incorporates stretch technology into the arms and torso so that any alpine movement sequence or vertical climbing technique can be performed with ease. Additional four-way stretch is incorporated into the Primaloft insulation in the underarm panels and hood, and the pockets are situated so you can reach your jerky or electrolyte tablets while you're on the move. If you feel a chill sneaking about, cinch the hood around your helmet and adjust the drawstring on your hem to help block out that cold.

Fits great. I can wear it over a light layer if needed. Love the cut and color scheme. I ordered an extra small. I am usually a small so sizing down might be a good idea if you are on the cusp.

I absolutely love this jacket!

This jacket is perfect for whatever you are planning on doing. Because it is poly-fill, it stays warm even when wet. Great layer for spring ice climbing. Flattering fit also!

Best Mid Layer!!

I wear this under my shell skiing and ice climbing and it has kept me super warm on even below-zero days in the northeast. Not to mention the color is fantastic! I get so many compliments on how vibrant it looks with the snow. Great quality and very warm! This item is great for anyone looking for a thicker puffy jacket under their shell, for both beginners and experts in the outdoors.

Wore this jacket on a ski and sailing trip to Norway. It was the perfect extra layer underneath a shell to keep in my pack. Folds up extra small. Perfect to keep as an extra layer during a tour and kept me insanely warm while sailing in sun zero temps. Great for all levels of skiiers.

Extremely warm, very lightweight. I sized up so I could layer underneath but I don't think it was necessary, I'd say the jacket runs a little large.

Warm, stylish, multi-purpose

I was looking for a warm jacket that wasn't too bulky or big. We have long, snowy, cold winters, and this jacket is perfect for around town during fall and throughout winter and it's also a great layer for backcountry and resort skiing.

Best Purchase

The jacket did its job while ice climbing this season. It kept me warm while belaying at 25 degrees with snow. The jacket is water-resistant, which holds up well if you decided to ice climb with it on. The only issue is the down gathers in several spots where you bend your arms. I enjoyed having the zipper open from the top and bottom. Having the zipper opening at the bottom helps while wearing the harness if you need to belay. The jacket washes well, just following the instructions. Also, the hood fits well over the helmet. Fits true to size. I am 5'9" with long arms and a short torso. I ordered a Meduim for layering. Oh, the butt coverage rocks!!!!
