Expect better from Mammut

After two months of medium intensity usage these boots wet out at even a misting of water. They are very comfortable and lightweight but if you intend on using them for anything other than casual wear or dry weather hiking I cannot recommend them. I also have some concerns about durability as a hole has begun to form in the fabric on the outer layer of the boot. I have had great experiences with Mammut gear in the past but these don't make the cut.

Great Boots

I blow through boots while making snow, these ones have held up amazingly. The sole is pretty stiff at first, but once they break in, they are fantastic! No signs of wear at all yet and it's been well over a month of hard use!

Works great at -15f

I live and play in Fairbanks, Alaska so I'm in some pretty cold weather regularly. I took these out on a 3 mile hike right out of the box in -15f temps and snow up to the ankles. These performed above expectations and my feet were warm the entire time. I did order up half size to accommodate thicker socks and they fit perfectly.

Great Boots

These are the best winter boots I've ever owned. I wear these boots all winter long with heavy socks and my feet are never cold. I also wear these when doing yard work or hiking and they are great.

These boots are incredibly warm and light weight, use them regularly on snowy mountain hikes and they stay dry and keep my fee warm.

Amazing boots, order a half size up!

This was my first year working up in Maine. needed winter boots and decided to try these based on the reviews. They are warm but not bulky and wear like normal hiking boots. Great traction and even in the snow and slush in freezing temperatures my feet are warm and dry. They are flexible and comfortable enough to spend a full day in, driving in them is like driving in normal boots. These will definitely be my go to winter boots for as long as they make them.

Great Winter Hiking Boots

Very comfortable. Right out of the box I went for a 5 walk in the snow. Nice and warm. Size up a 1/2 for more comfort. I ordered a 10.5 and I'm usually a 10 in everything. I'm from Alberta where temperatures can swing a lot. From -30 to +5 these are great waterproof boots for walking, shoveling snow, snow shoeing and winter hiking.

Great winter boot. Waterproofing has not failed me yet. Very durable and sturdy sole gives confidence in walking along rough terrain. It did take about a week of wear before they formed to my foot. I had to buy arch supporting insoles because I found that the boot has quite a flat insole out of the box.

Great Pair of Boots!

These are the best boots I have had in my life! The workmanship is present, as in all Mammut products. As another reviewer has pointed out, they really do shine with a pair of snow shoes, crampons, or even traction spikes strapped on! They have a perfect set of ridges on the heel that prevent the strapping from slipping off the heel. Such a great feature! The Vibram sole is always welcome with me!
