Alnasca Harness

The Alnasca is Mammut's lightest climbing harness tailored for sport. It combines Mammut's most innovative technologies; Split webbing reduces weight without inhibiting durability or pressure distribution, while Mammut's Frame technology laminates the split webbing to mesh for a breathable, flexible feel. The Alnasca also touts a single self-locking waist buckle with elastic leg loops for easy on-and-off. There are two stiff gear loops that hold plenty of quickdraws, and two flexible gear loops behind hold belay gear as well as a few more draws.

A beautiful sexy harness. (Sizing?)

A very sleek form fitting harness. I have climbed in the Mammut Ophir 4 Slide for the past few years , my favorite harness out of my last five harnesses, and this harness has a better fit for my body and climbing. Looks way cooler too! I like that the front gear loops are semi firm and have a small well for your quick draws to rest near the front for easy access. The single buckle makes for an easy and quick check with your partner. The size large allows for my belay loop to be perfectly centered to my body. The back loops are a cord material. The matching caulk bag is a bit shallow( going along with a fast and light feel)but it is wide enough for my big hands. I love the attachment for hooking the caulk bag to the harness. I don’t need The strap or carabiners to now connect the two together. Sizing: like many things in life it can boil down to personal preference. I prefer my harnesses to have a certain fit. Please read all instructions when looking for a safe fit. I ended up buying all three sizes before setting on the large. I prefer my padding to touch. I tried to show in the pictures. With the size large I was able to get the padding beneath the nylon strap to touch and had enough nylon to tuck under both small loops. I’m wearing size 30 Prana Zion pants in the pictures. The leg loops are have an elastic band and fit my legs perfectly. I am 6 1 and 170lbs

Five Stars

I've used it several times

This harness is simply amazing. I've had it for about 2 months now and I still appreciate it everytime I climb. The material is very breathable and extremely lightweight so sweating isn't a problem. The gear loops get the job done. My favorite feature is the little loop on the back that is specifically designed for the alnasca chalk bag, it's much better than a carabiner or waist strap. I honestly love this harness.
