Quick Mount Adapter

Unless you're attaching your Magura brake to a 160mm post mount on your fork, you'll need a Quick Mount Adapter, known by the initialism QM. Magura decided with the proliferation of choices available to riders, it makes the most sense to provide the brakes without brackets and have the customer choose the right bracket(s). Below you'll find a guide to determine which is right for you. Happy hunting and safe stopping.

QM5 bracket — 203mm rotor, front IS mount
QM7 bracket — 203mm rotor, front post mount, two-piston
QM8 bracket — 203mm rotor, RockShox BoXXer
QM9 bracket — 203mm rotor, rear IS mount
QM10 bracket — 180mm rotor, rear IS mount, two-piston
QM11 bracket — 160mm rotor, front IS mount or 203mm rotor, front IS 203mm mounts, FOX 40
QM12 bracket — 180mm rotor, front IS mount or 160mm rotor, rear IS mount
QM20 bracket — Replaced by QM40
QM40 bracket — 180mm rotor, post mount
QM41 bracket — 180mm, rear IS mount, four-piston
QM42 bracket — 203mm, post mount, four-piston

Adapt

Switched my maguras to a different frame, this piece of metal helped me do that. Brakes stay where I want them to, and my bike stops when I pull the levers.

Does the job

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Not much to say, it does what it's supposed to

Which adapter will I need to convert my pm 160mm rotor to a 180 in the rear?

>Rating:

Hi guys, looking for the correct caliper adaptor to convert to 203 storm rotor, that will fit for Magura's MT7 on a 160 pike. Thank you for your help.

I have confirmed with Magura that I will need the QM42 for my Pike 160mm fork if I would like to use the Storm SL 203mm rotor. What I am not sure about is the compatibility of the QM42 with my caliper, I am using an SRAM Guide RSC caliper. Will the mounting holes align?

Will the QM26 adapter work to convert 180mm post mount to 203mm post mount? I have a 2016 Fox float 36 and want to use a 203mm rotor. The Shimano SM-MA-F203P/PM is out of stock everywhere (including here at backcountry for 9 weeks!).

That is a great question. I have done some homework on your disk brake adapter question, and looks like you need the SM-MA-F180, P/P Front adapter for that fox 36 fork. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to e-mail me at dmyers@backcountry.com .
