Trigger Wire Carabiner

The last thing you want to deal with when tip-toeing through a runout project is a biffed clip. Racking up with the Mad Rock Trigger Wire Carabiner will help eliminate the extra sweating and swearing that goes along with hard-to-use gear. But the Trigger Wire's name says it all; this lightweight biner features a specialized trigger to hold the gate open until the pressure of the rope releases it, which makes for a safe and smooth clip as well as fewer bills in the swear jar.

Impromptu Stick Clip

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

There are some routes out there - one in particular that it was very helpful to have this. I was able to make a short impromptu stick clip with a little tape and a stick i found and attached this biner (with the other half of a draw) and was able to reach up and clip the first bolt on the second pitch of what would have been a sketchy factor 2 fall on the anchor... But this thing saved me from that fear. Buy a couple as they are helpful in all situations!

Great Carabiner

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I used the item for general camping purpose. The carabiner is cheap to buy, good looking, great quality and stay new for long. What more could I ask for?

Useful and entertaining

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought this for the novelty factor. However, I find that it is really useful for makeshift stick clips with some tape, a branch, and the biner on the bolt side of the draw. Also, everyone wants to play with it. I could spend hours setting and triggering the gate. I guess I'm easily amused.
