A summit pack that won't weigh you down.

Throw your puffy coat, rain jacket, and hydration reservoir in the Lowe Alpine Prism 22 Backpack and go from your high camp to the summit. You'll appreciate the Prism's lightweight design when you stuff it in your backpacking pack, but you'll like it even more when you're making good time on the summit by not being needlessly weighed down. The Prism may be basic in design, but it has essentially everything a summit pack needs with a large main compartment, a zippered security pocket, and a hydration sleeve all intact. The pack also has a removable back panel that can be used as a sit mat when you're perched on that remote peak.

A very light and basic pack. Bigger than I expected. Quality is very good. I like that the back pad can be removed. The ice tool holders are quite basic but work nicely if the pack is full-ish. The only negative is that if it's not loaded it's just a loose sack, but that's what I expected. Bought it as a summit pack, but have used it for day hikes, MTBing, and just going about town. Similar to REI Flash 22, which I also have, but I like this better because it has 2 daisies, better for 2 tools, and it doesn't have those side mesh pockets (which are not strong enough for a water bottle).
